Henry Repeating Arms linked us on their facebook page. I think that is giving us a lot of new members.

We have people that work hard in the background keeping the bots away but we don't really have moderators. Dave and I are the only ones that do disciplinary actions but I don't think either of us have had to do much. We don't have many rules, just no political posts and everything has to be G-rated.

a good and thriving forum is a reflection of the moderation, good and fair moderators can break or rake a forum. Kudo's to you and Dave.

I've been on other forums where they don't have strict rules like we have here, but then the mods have to come in and break things up. Larger forums tend to have larger problems. Part of our success here is we are not very big. Our vision is not to become big just so we can generate more advertising revenue, our goal is to provide a safe place to talk about Henry Repeating Arms and other firearm related stuff.

We are also very fortunate to have JEBar, our own Town Marshall and an experienced forum administrator on another site, whose contributions onstage and backstage can't be understated. When he shows up, he means business! :)

We would have major problems here if it weren't for all the hard work you guys do. Dave and I knew what we wanted the forum to be like but we didn't have much experience running a forum. Over at the old one we didn't have much power and could only watch things happen.

I think the members of this Forum probably make life fairly easy for the moderators, and each other too. Everybody seems to treat everybody else with respect, and while there might be some mild banter and leg-pulling, none of it is malicious. Nobody tries to score points off each other, unlike some forums where the content takes second place to the internal politics and snide remarks.

I thought I did well when I bought my Henry rifle, but I did even better when I found this Forum! :D

I was thinking 10% - perhaps we need to negotiate a little. ;)

I'll take it in peanuts if necessary. That's how I used to get paid, anyway!
