I only wish. She who must be obeyed will not leave until February. Something to do with Grandchildren's birthdays.

56 at 11AM .... projected high 68 with 0% chance of rain .... looks like we will miss most of the storm front that is predicted to move north through the central part of the country .... next rain for us mentioned in the long range forecast is an 88% chance of a passing shower or two on Wednesday .... temps are to fluctuate from the mid 50's to the low 70's .... one of our sons friends is due to come by this afternoon to help us link our laptops with our printers .... I've tried it but so far, doing so is way above my pay grade

33 when I got up this morning. We got the snow that was forecast. Probably only an inch or so in this pic but in the middle of the night when the puppy wanted to go outside there was more. Probably 2-3” and the tree limbs were very heavy and drooping. At first the pup wouldn’t walk out into the snow but once I gave him a push he had a blast and didn’t want to come back inside. Finally got that done and then the little pain in the butt wouldn’t quit crying to go back out again. Puppies……. Maybe more snow tomorrow. Here at mid afternoon it’s mostly melted.

first up this morning, helping shuttle grandkids to medical appointments, then to school/track out camp .... had to replace the battery in our Silverado, that's sure gotten to be expensive .... 63 at 11AM on its way to 73 later this afternoon .... no more highs in the 70's in the 10 day forecast .... Wednesday is the only day with more than a single digit chance of precipitation in that same 10 day forecast ....

Woke up to 33 and all the snow has melted away. Good riddance. Maybe more on Wednesday. It’s supposed to get windy today but otherwise stay pretty benign. I just went downstairs and turned on the heater in my reloading room where I plan on pulling some bullets from some 32 H&R ammo I loaded. Changing out to 327 Fed Mag hoping for better accuracy. Plus a little outdoor cleanup I didn’t get to before the snow fell.

55 at 9:30AM under what they term a "Partly Sunny" sky .... yesterday I wrote "no more highs in the 70's in the 10 day forecast" --- well, that's changed with 71 predicted for today's high .... other than taking a mile plus walk at a local city park, nothing much on tap for today .... on the plus side, they do say we should get some rain tomorrow

Woke up to 28 earlier and while we had a nice sunrise Mr. Sun is now covered with a cloud layer. High today is expected to be 38. We are under a Winter Storm Watch for 3-6” of snow tonight and tomorrow. Then more rain that will hopefully melt the snow away. Nice thing with these storms and temps is the mountain snowfall just keeps piling up without any melting. Mountain pass totals are starting to be measured in feet. Good deal!

Today I’m going to winterize my 2 cycle tools which is mostly putting fresh treated gas in them and running the motor for a bit. Just finished watching a replay of last nights Gonzaga game vs San Diego State. 13 point victory for the Zags. Last night it was broadcast on a channel I don’t get but it’s nice to see the commercial/break free replay on YouTube.

All tied up in Blanco Tx for about 11 days before heading to the gulf. We have some friends here and we are looking forward to spending time with them. It was 81 degrees here today under the big oak tree

Actually our friends are right up the road at Sunrise Beach. He's a retired United Captain and has had a mild stroke but is still a lot of fun.
I'm wearing a pair of boots I purchased up at Kingsland last year. Nice area.

63 degrees at 10:30AM with an unpleasant damp feel .... they say it will reach 70 later today (they said the same thing yesterday but it didn't make it) ....they say it ain't gonna change for the rest of today .... a light rain (OK, sprinkle) that will get you damp going out to the car but won't accumulate much to help with our ongoing drought .... not much going on, thankfully nothing that will require us to get out and about

Hey BigAl, how do you and your wife survive in that “little” fiver. Looks like a wonderful location.

Here I woke up to 33 and the predicted snow was falling. We have about an inch on the ground but not much on the concrete so no shoveling for me. It’s supposed to turn to rain and melt away but our mountains should be getting hammered. Over on the west side of the state those folks suffered a bomb cyclone that came in off the pacific. Lots of damage and power outages and one has died when a tree fell on her homeless camp.

Rainy all week then getting cold next week.

Here’s this mornings dog hike. The pup sure loves the snow.

Most of the bomb cyclone went north of here into western/coastal Washington. Still made for an exciting overnight occurrence. Lots of rain and brisk wind.
