38 here and for the time being dry. However we expect rain all day and low 40’s for the high temp. Nice the fall rains have finally arrived, we have been getting several good soakings here lately. Rain again tomorrow then dry for Friday and Saturday with temps returning to overnight below freezing and daytime highs in the 40’s.

Not sure what today will bring for activities but it will certainly be indoors.

finally, rain isn't just a CYA afterthought hidden in the forecast .... 46 now, its been raining for a while and is supposed to continue off and on for the rest of today .... granted its very light rain by we will happily take all be can get .... predicted high for today is 56 with the temp dropping back into the upper 40's tonight .... first up this morning is picking up our Silverado from the garage where we took it for its annual safety inspection .... not surprised that the batter we installed back in 2017 needs to be replaced .... talk about sticker shock ..!!.. can only hope the replacement last as long .... next up, physical therapy right after lunch

I had to replace two tractor batteries last year and when the local Kubota dealer told me the price of a replacement battery, I said something to the effect of "No, really, how much is it?"

I was somewhat prepared when I bought the second replacement battery not too terribly long after the first but it still stung.

39 and overcast this morning. Yesterday we had an all day steady rain that totaled 3/4”. For us that’s a lot of rain in one day. I have the usual ponding in a few places that pose no problem thankfully. Today there is a chance of just showers so I may get outside and do something. The dogs are very bored just lying around the house. I’ll probably change the oil in the Ranger and put the rear window back in. I take it out in the summer so when the dogs ride in the back we can interact with them.

I don't buy replacement batteries from the equipment or car dealers. I take physical measurements of the battery and go the local tire/battery shop. A 72 month battery was/is less than 1/2 of what an equipment/car dealer charges.

50 right now with a "wind chill" making it feel like 49 .. .. they say it will get up to 62 later today before falling back to 43 overnight .... 2% chance of rain .... biggest news for me, yesterday afternoon I had my last physical therapy session following right knee replacement .... its not a hundred percent but its fine .... nothing on tap for me today .... Maureen and our daughter have a shopping trip planned .... that's scary ... .... we do have a YouTube link to watch one of Maureen's nephew's team play in a SD state championship football game this afternoon

31 with a light fog here as I type this. Fog means the sun will be breaking out all over. Yea, haven’t seen good old’ Mr. sunshine for a few days. Nice today and tomorrow with snow coming in overnight Saturday but thankfully turning to rain on Sunday. I’m changing the oil in the snow plow today but I won’t need it quite yet.

31 with a nice day forecast for the first half but then possible snow coming in later, 1-4” is the prediction for where I live. It’s not expected to stay around long with rain coming in tomorrow. The mountains will get hammered which is a good thing unless you’re traveling. The ski resorts may see a couple of feet.

Got the last of my oil changes done yesterday so today I’ll service my 2 cycle stuff with fresh fuel. Then move any chemicals from the garage and shop that won’t stand freezing temps to the basement as well as the batteries from mowers etc that I won’t use in the winter. So other than putting snow blades on the utv and tractor I think I’m ready for winter.
