Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
its been a busy morning .... first up for me was a physical therapy session .... the lady I worked with today really put me through really intense workout .... no complaints whatsoever, when I got through I had no doubt that it had been a really good session .... 72 degrees at 2:32PM under a beautifully clear Carolina Blue Sky .... today's high is predicted to be 73 so it'll probably reach that pretty soon .... no rain .... after getting home from physical therapy I drove Maureen to a dental appointment .... not much to the appointment, they had to check her out and sign off on her coming knee replacement

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Morning, gonna be another breezy day today, SSE14 mph, with gusts of 23.
It's 70 at the moment with 75 % humidity, feels 67 it says.
Headed towards a record high for this day of 81 set back in '05.
We should get the lake house finished today.
I'm ready,
up and down around the hillside is getting old.
Next job is a little closer to the ground.
Well, our country has a gender reveal party today,

Of course I'm not very tall, but you know what I mean.

Election Day dawned at 56 degrees under a Dense Fog Advisory .... predicted high 80 (which would tie the record high for this date) .... no rain .... with almost 60% of NC's eligible voters already having cast their ballots, early turnout is termed as light .... with their schools closed due to being polling places today we will baby sitting grandchildren today .... so much for an afternoon nap ....
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
33 with some blue sky showing as it’s getting light. We expect a nice run of several days of clear and sunny but cold with overnights in the lower 20’s and highs in the lower 40’s. Good weather to get my winter preps DONE. It’s been so cold and rainy lately I haven’t been motivated to go out and get them done.
College basketball season started yesterday with most teams across the nation scheduling soft games. But….the 6th ranked Gonzaga Bulldogs and the 8th ranked Baylor Bears decided to face each other for the first game. Wow. Baylor has owned Gonzaga recently including a beat down in the national championship game a few years ago. However last night it was Gonzaga’s time to shine as they beat the Bears 101 to 63. In fairness Baylor has rebuilt almost the entire team and after a few more games they will be a power to contend with.
Go Zags.

I’ll just agree with Mike. Sunny and below freezing overnight. Time to blow out the RV and park it, and I’d winterized the boat too, but I’m planning to fish a bit in the next few weeks. They are starting to bite, and our lake has some 15 lb + rainbow trout in it, so time to get out there. Might be doing a lightbulb in the doghouse overnight to keep the engine warm. Yes, that’s snow up there;)

Hi Mark. It’s actually a “Fire-hood” brand. I had been looking around for one like it for quite a few years. Saw a few on Craigslist and at hipster antique stores. Everyone wanted $500-$1,000 for them. Then a house down the street went up for sale and I saw it in the back yard. I asked the sellers if I could buy it. They said “what are you offering?”, and I said $100. She said,oh, that’s too much. I told her I had a $50 bill handy, and she said “come get it”!
I’ll be sure to post if we get anything.
Went out looking for a big mule deer tonight. Only saw does though, and a spectacular sunset:

Temps in the low 30’s but seems to be a nice, reassuring breeze coming in from south of the border this morning.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
we have a 64 degree, absolutely beautiful, morning in our neighborhood ..
.. no chance of rain today .... the good news is, we have an 87% of badly needed rain tomorrow .... the not so good news is they don't forecast there to be very much rain .... our daughter had to take her new foster daughter to the emergency room last night .... after a good bit of testing she was found to have a strain of pneumonia .... once again, the good news is, she's much better this morning
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
It’s cold and frosty outside with a temp of 25. It’s warm and toasty inside with a nice fire in the stove. It’s also warm and comfortable in my heart.
Sunny and 40 later and it’s rinse and repeat thru Friday. Then starting Saturday it’s rainy for several days. Gotta get me chores done by Friday.

26 and dark outside but the lawn is sparkly in the lights. Nice day expected with the high in the low 40’s and sunny. Got my gutters cleaned out yesterday, one of my least favorite projects. Today I’ll finish raking pine needles and help Mrs. Hatchdog trim all the outside plants and shrubs. Plus move some stuff around to get trailers and other stuff under cover.

I have two bow hunters hunting in our woods and so far they haven't had
a clear shot yet. It's a retired Father and his Deputy Sherriff Son. I think we
need a good hard freeze to get the deer moving. It's been a pretty warm
Fall so far.
