Overcast, 46°F, Humidity 66%
Wind Speed NW 13 mph
Barometer 30.16 in
Dewpoint 36°F
Visibility 10.00 mi
Mostly cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 56.
Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.
Back to average temps but still no rain. We've not had any rain now for two months.
I finished power washing the shed yesterday and then the fuel tank, snow plow and leaf
blowers were washed as well. Then I trimmed some pine trees we have along the service
road. Today I plan on getting a hair cut and then I have a meeting at one O'clock and after
that a Gun Club Banquet this evening.
Another busy day.

... Today I’ll fill up the wood rack both inside the house and on the patio as I expect to have the first fire in the stove this season. My wife is looking forward to the warmth.
We've had couple wet chilly days. So the first and 2nd fire are now behind us. Expecting a normal wet fall, which hasn't happened, we had our firewood stacked and racked by early Sept. We've had some stout rain storms, but not the usual fall frequency. Weather has been slightly warm/coolish. Summer kinda just drifted away. Not the usual abrupt sudden change to fall.
I’m now on my third season using fat-wood as a kindling, thanks again for the suggestion way back when.

30 on my thermometer with the official Deer Park reading being 26. The fire is burning nicely. I started it before our pup got up and he was a bit scared of it but that didn’t last long. 53 for later in the day with a cloudy day expected. Dogs are going to doggie day care and my wife and I are doing some running around this morning and then home to work on yard cleanup, mostly pine needles.

59 on its way to 77 under a clear Carolina Blue sky in our part of central NC .... low single digit chance of rain, looks dry well into next month .... NO rain during this years NC State Fair, that is unusual indeed .... I'm finally through taking an assortment of meds that were proscribed in connection with recent knee replacement surgery .... 3,152 steps yesterday (1.4 miles) showing on my Iphone for yesterday, really like that feature .... that's my biggest day in recent history .... do plan to take our usual walk in the park today but will probably cover a bit smaller distance

Keep on trucking Jim… :D

A bit warmer today at 33 with a light frost. High around 50 with sunshine where the fog lifts. Just heard that fog is expected in North Idaho wrapping around to right here in Deer Park. I’m golfing in North Idaho this morning starting at 10:50 so I sure hope it burns off before then.

Barometer 30.15 in
Dewpoint 37°F

We got a nice rain last night. I haven't checked the rain gauge yet,
but it was nice. First measurable rain in two months.
Carol is attending legal updates to real estate law in St. Paul again
today so I think I'll try McDonalds new menu. I did Subway yesterday.
Last evening I got a booth at a popular Mexican Restaurant and she met

Nice gun room Randy ;)

35 now and maybe 50 later with sun and clouds expected. Nice again tomorrow with rain coming in later in the evening and continuing into Sunday. Prefect weather do load up some 327 FM test loads in the morning and watch football in the afternoon.

Had a nice day in the mountains of Idaho yesterday golfing, sunny and pleasant for the first half and cloudy and cold for the second. Could be the last round of the year. This coming week there is talk of snow in the mountains.

another really cool (42 degree) morning under a beautiful Carolina Blue sky ... already up to 65 on its way to 76 with a whopping 1% chance of rain .... the only project this morning has been to fine tune our trip itinerary ... if past history is any indicator, its a process that will continue for months to come .... no medical appointments scheduled for today .... do plan to walk again today .... 7 years ago our single daughter adopted a little boy who was just under 2 years old .... today we will be picking up a 10 year old girl, if all goes well, in 6 to 12 months she will officially become our 6th grandchild .... she's a very nice youngster in spite of her difficult past .... we are looking forward to having her in our family

38 now, a bit warmer due to the cloud cover that brought us a light rain just enough to make the concrete wet. More substantial rain coming in overnight tonight. Yea! It’s supposed to be a nice day today but the local weather folks are still in bed so I’ll be looking for a commitment to that here in a little bit.

My 10 day wait period for the used S&W M/63 is over today so hopefully the LGS will text me and say come and get it!

A late good morning here, was 54° when I woke, 65° now and had a small shower come through just a few minutes ago.
Took the grandson hunting this morning, we have a juvenile hunt this weekend. We didn't see any and he got bored. He wanted to take the 4-wheeler and cruise around the farm, as luck would have it, we jumped 5 or 6 before we got back.

Coffee tastes good this morning. A quiet sunday of rest planned for the day. Sighted in my little ruger compact in 308 yesterday. I am pleased.

Woke up to 44 this morning. The rain that was supposed to come in overnight is just now starting to fall. Hope it rains all day as that will give me permission to do some reloading this morning and watch football this afternoon. Rain again tomorrow but Tuesday is supposed to be dry and partly sunny so we’re planning a trip up to the range then.

Rain is here too. I’ve been spending too much time hunting lately, but got a decent sized white tail on Thursday, so now I can be happy about the rain and get some work done. I just listened to RPs post with Billy Gibbons and Jeff Beck (legendary!) and now it’s time for backstrap and a potato and onion galette with eggs for breakfast. I’ll finish the day with the Mexico GP where my boy Carlos Sainz is on pole in his Ferrari. Life is good!

Happy Sunday!

45 on its way to 70 under a clear, Carolina Blue sky with no chance of rain .... Maureen has a massage on tap for this morning, I have a physical therapy appointment for this afternoon .... in thinking about it, they have much in common but hers has to be more fun .... our daughter (who lives next door) adopted young boy about 6 years ago .... she recently agreed to foster to adopt a 10 year old girl who moved in over the weekend .... they are gone right now to get her enrolled in the same elementary school where our children and all but 2 of our grandchildren have attended .... we've been blessed with a growing family .... sure hope we can muster the energy to keep up with it
