My thermometer is reading 39 but the weather guy told me the Deer Park temp is 30. I believe my reading as I have no frost. Nice day today with an expected high to tickle 70 and sunny. Got the rv motors serviced yesterday and today I’ll do the boat motor and put it away for the season. It’s the time of the year to put the summer toys away and get the winter (toys) out. Sorry to say my winter toys are work toys not play toys.

another beautiful day in the neighborhood ... sunny, 82 with a 2% chance of rain and they say to expect it to go up another degree before dropping back to 56 tonight ... tomorrow's high anticipated to be about 10 degrees cooler .... no more 80 degree days shown in our 10 day forecast .... Hurricane Milton projected to cross out of the Gulf and into the Atlantic a good ways south of us in a couple of days with none of its rain making it into our area .... a regular physical therapy session for me is the only thing on tap for today ....

A nice fall week ahead. Coffee is good this morning. Touch up painting on some outside trim today.... time to get stuff done... a three day early doe season(gun) next weekend. We haven't had that before. I might go shoot one, (or try to shoot one...) and give the meat to the states share the harvest program.

our long promised cooling trend seems to be rolling in .... here it is mid morning with the temp only up to 60 .... predicted high today of 75 with a 0% chance of rain .... it still appears that Hurricane Milton will pass a long ways south of us .... sure hope that proves to be the case .... other than physical therapy and other medical appointments, not much on tap for the rest of this week

I'm doing a lot of odds and ends since the weather is so nice.
I got the old 8N Ford started yesterday and back bladed the driveway.
It had been sitting several months and was a little hard to start.
I'm looking to sell it and purchase something more modern.

Heard on the news this morning that the area in NC hit so hard by Helene is expecting temps in the 30’s this weekend. All those folks who still have a home but no power….
Here it’s 40 with a nice day expected in the mid 70’s. Starting tomorrow we expect a slight cool down to more normal temps in the 60’s but could see more 70’s this weekend and next week. No complaints here!
Got the boat all serviced and in the shop yesterday but I still have to put tenders on the batteries, put a de-humidifier in and put the cover on. Nighty night boat, see you in the spring.

we have a cool 49 degree morning under a clear, Carolina Blue sky, with 0% chance of rain and a forecast for it to reach 77 later today .... Hurricane Milton is still scheduled to hit Florida overnight and, thankfully, its predicted to take it into the Atlantic and away from the east coast .... sadly, they still say that the damage it will leave behind will be historic in scale .... our church and many others is still collecting donations for the hurricane victims in western NC

A warm one today with the temp of 47 right now. High later is around 65 with winds to 30mph expected. This is due to a cold front coming in and tonight’s low is forecast to be in the lower 20’s.

Of course I’m playing golf tomorrow and we will have a frost delay to everybody’s start times. There will be lots of standing around bitching,
Today is grunt day, yesterday I laid out an in ground fence wire to keep the dogs out of certain areas of the back yard. Today I get to bury the wire, oh boy.
Feeling terrible for the folks in Florida and the pending storm Milton.

No coffee this AM. I had to fast for an appointment at the Mayo Clinic at
7:30. Up at 5:30. out the door at 6 and an hour and fifteen minute drive
to Rochester. They did an ultra sound on my artificial aorta to make sure
it's still sealed. Everything is A OK. A little lunch on the way home and the
gun club this afternoon and then beer and wings with the crew.
All is good.

38 right now which is a welcome temp since the forecast low was to be 23. Must be a cloud layer out there but it’s still too dark to see (from my recliner that is

). High is expected to be in the mid 60’s which will make for a pleasant day on the golf course for me.
Fingers crossed that the early reports from Florida of lower storm effect than expected continue. Those damn tornados however…

36 this morning with another nice day expected. Mid 70’s this weekend which is our local opening for deer season. Not good with temps that warm. I no longer hunt big game but sure can remember some unpleasant hot afternoons hunting. Of course the mornings are cold so I would start out with a few layers of clothes.
Today is a run around day for us. Dropping the dogs off at doggie day care and then a visit to the doc’s for flu shots. Then to the Apple Store as we both are having issues with our Mac Books. Then to the fairgrounds for a Home Show. Oops forgot breakfast in between the docs and the Apple Store. Best part of the morning I say…

well, its been a beautiful day in the neighborhood .... 70 right now under a beautifully clear, Carolina Blue sky with a 0%chance of rain .... first up this morning was my last session of in home physical therapy .... it went well .... next week a new physical therapy will move to the local practice that I've used several times in the last few years ... we tried to go and vote early today only to learn that it will not start in our area for another week .... one positive, during a grocery/meds run to Walmart we confirmed the polling location .... according to my phone's pedometer I walked .7 of a mile today .... that's the longest distance since before knee surgery
