A little unplanned upgrade this morning. Site is working ok it seems.
New savage lever guns.
Re: New savage lever guns.
Had a chance to watch the vids. Interesting little 22lr lever gun. I'm not sure I'd take it over a henry. I'd have to see it in person.

Glad to see more lever guns on the market and more folks shooting lever guns. That's a good thing. Can't say I'm in any hurry to buy that new Savage, though. I'll just wait and see on this one.

American made said the second video and a walnut stock. Three ?'s Will it only shoot L.R. cartridges, why a crossbolt safety and what about price and consumer back up as I doubt that they can come close to H.R.A. The first video said"hardwood stock" and the second said "walnut" . So which is it?

Well, Walnut is a hard wood.Travlin wrote: ↑Tue Sep 24, 2024 7:53 pmAmerican made said the second video and a walnut stock. If it's like the last few newer Savage rifles I've and owned, I'll bet it is accurate.
But it's too ugly for my taste.

When I saw the title, I hoped I would find that Savage reintroduced the Model 99.

Re: New savage lever guns.
I've said it before, it seems like many of the gun manufacturers are making lever actions to try and copy the success of Henry. So far, I'm not impressed. I did see a new Heritage lever up close. I wasn't impressed.
