Drawing as a hobby

[Guide]

I was wondering if anyone does any art work. I like to do drawing with high end colored pencils. I like drawing fish, fishing tackle, food and other things. I’m no artist for sure but do enjoy it. Plus I just had foot surgery, can’t put any weight on the foot for 5-6 weeks. I’ve started my third week so besides reading, drawing, and look for info here and planning my next project it gets boring.

Any thought I’d see if I’m the only who draws.

I like your drawing skills. The closest I have come is some colored pencil adult coloring book stuff.

I like your stuff too. A friend of ours did fish as well. He did paintings, note cards and the like. Was the manager of the fly fishing section at our local Orvis before he left for a much better gig guiding out in the North West. His stuff sold well and was often auctioned for Charity.

You could probably sell or donate your work as well. I used to draw cartoons for the kids when they were young, and do some graphic art work for the squadrons on active duty, but haven't done any of it at all in years. Our Middle daughter is a gifted artist and won a state wide contest in High School. The painting had to go up for auction to benefit the State Art's Program. (Something SHE and her mother missed when she applied.) I had framed it after her mother matted it. They were both devastated that it might leave the family. Guess who had to make sure it didn't.

[Guide]

Working on a large drawing. I’m drawing a topo map with a compass, knife, ferro rod, Paracord, Guides patch on it. I’m hoping it comes out well and my boss lets me put a print in the room we test in. If not I’ll have I here for the man cave.

I like to paint... been to tied up lately. Here is a picture I painted a couple years ago of a smallmouth bass... i titled it " moment of decesion"
