Re: Garage and road project
Looks like they did a good job. How thick is it?, kind of hard to tell from the photo.

The chimney is there so I can heat it. In the summer the sun gets it hot like an oven. I’m told it’s best for keeping it cool although like you say I can heat it also.markiver54 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2024 8:15 pmShould be pretty easy to heat if you decide you want to. Looks good!

Yes, even the thin insulation I used in mine helped with the heat. It still gets hot but not like before when it was like an oven. I very rarely heat mine but if I do a couple of space heaters will at least warm it up a little.Sir Henry wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2024 7:31 amThe chimney is there so I can heat it. I’ll most let likely heat it only when it’s warmer than the teens. When it -25F I’m staying in the housedave77 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2024 2:43 pmYes, even the thin insulation I used in mine helped with the heat. And I thought your building was bright with the windows and the lightning. With the added insulation my lighting envy has increased.

My lights are at the recommended level for an office. The difference between enough and not enough was so close that I paid the extra bucks to get what I wanted. All the LED’s were about $350 but will outlive me.

Re: Garage and road project
I bought a Fisher Grampa Bear wood burning stove for my shop. I picked it up yesterday and got home about 11 pm after a 1,500 mile round trip. My neighbor went with me and we spent two nights visiting her grandkids along the way. She is 99 years old and I call her mom.
I’m sure getting a lot of use out of my new trailer. It’s a classic design from the 70’s. Many have stolen the Fisher design because it’s known for not smoking when the doors are open. I also have the screeen so it can be used as a fireplace. Mine has the rear chimney so it can be installed in a brick fireplace. Mine will be freestanding in the middle of the room. They also make a top exit chimney which I could have used. The rear chimney makes a better cook stove.

I off loaded the stove and put it into place. I still need to get the inside metal chimney.
Winter is approaching fast.

I also unboxed the metal cabinets. They are actually more like storage bins.
These two will be mounted on the wall.
