Fair, 55°F, Humidity 100%
Wind Speed Calm
Barometer 30.35 in
Dewpoint 55°F
Visibility 10.00 mi
Sunny, with a high near 73.
Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph in the afternoon.
Our son in law came out and did the mowing and trimmed some shrubs yesterday.
He brought out Grandson and his friend and they swam in the pool all afternoon
with Grandma watching over them. Against their objections I got the bog zero turn
mower out and did the service road and around the barn. I find it hard to just sit
around and watch.
Today the whole family gang is coming for brats and burgers around the pool.
I won't be swimming, but I am looking foreword to it. It's gonna be fun.
I'm healing up nicely I think. Still some pain but only taking Tylenol now.

a bit cooler at 83 than recent morning with high humidity and a thick overcast .... they say we are having light rain but it seems to me to be a more of a light mist than actual rain .... we continue to move various items out of the camper and into the house or garage .... no plans to leave the house today

I just saw a wolf or a coyote run across my hay field. It was too far away to positively identify. It was either a coyote looking wolf or a very large coyote.

The sun came up almost due East this morning and the leaves are beginning to turn. In the next few weeks this area will be in full Fall colors.

The tower on Timms Hill is visible on the horizon on the right. As you can see it’s not much higher than my place.

64 this morning on its way to 80 later today .... 0% chance of rain today but supposed to get wet starting tomorrow .... we've already taken a grandson to school and then dropped Maureen's Blazer off at a local garage for a tire rotation and its first annual safety inspection .... during its first year we have put just over 8,000 miles on it .... being out in Estelline, SD for 3 months is largely responsible for reducing the mileage .... next up, storing the 28 quart jars of tomatoes canned yesterday and getting ready to can more next week

50 as I type this with a high of 89 expected later. Hot for a few days and then cooling back down next week. At least back to the lower 80’s. So far this has been a pretty smoke free year compared to the last several. But we have six weeks of fire season left so fingers crossed.

Hitting the golf course today over in Post Falls Idaho which will give me a chance to fill the gas tank at about .40 cents less per gallon than here in high tax Washington. Tomorrow the pup goes in for his neutering. Poor little guy…..

Are you getting that annoying phone’s off the hook beeping? I’m still holding on….. Great picture.

Meanwhile back here in Warshintin” state where we’re still on party lines it’s 54 with a bright sun coming up. Hot today with highs in the 90’s and then hotter all weekend. But, the weather guy just mentioned that by end of next week we may have highs only in the 70’s. Now that’s more like it!!!

Today the pup gets neutered, poor little guy. The cone of shame is pending.

Thanks Hatch. It's one of a few the wife has picked up here and there. The grandson was playing with that one over the weekend. As I was about to put it up I thought, hey this will make for a fun picture.
Had a couple cool comments on fb the other day.

talk about a beautiful day in the neighborhood, that's just the way today's weather has been .... 76 right now under a mostly clear sky with some scattered clouds .... it is projected to climb another three degrees within a few hours .... 3% chance of rain .... a morning 50 mile round trip drive to a medical appointment for Maureen ended in a bit of frustration .... when she got in to see the doctor, he told her that she should have had some blood test before he could give her the shots that she was scheduled for .... that took the blood and her appointment will be rescheduled once the lab results comes back .... medical appoints for one or both of us will pretty much dominate our schedules through the end of this month with the big one being the replacement of my right knee on the 24th
