Great customer service from Ruger but sad that it came down to having to use it. Hope it runs strong from here on out.

Well the Ruger saga continues. Back to Ruger again. The gun hangs up or binds up when using it in single action mode. It runs fine in double action but when trying to fire it in the single action method the hammer will just stop at about half cock. You then can let it return and it will cock the next time. Doesnt do it all the time but it will do it intermittently. Also there is scratches that were not there ahead of the rear sight. I suspect that was done when the barrel was replaced. I take the blame for part of this deal. I should of inspected this gun a little closer before I bought it. If I would of I would of never brought it home.

Al, I know there's nothing I can say at this point to help, but if you lived closer, I'd lend you one of my DA 22 revolvers in the meantime while Ruger gets this done right. I'd even let you pick the one you want to shoot.

My new Smith 617 had to go back twice, too, and my Uberti Cattleman still 22 sits in the safe ,waiting for me to ship it back. Yeah, it's all so darn frustrating. I've been hearing the same kind of problems from other shooters and seeing the same thing on the forums and Youtube.

Hang in there, my friend.

Al, that's too bad. I'd kick it up a notch and write an email or letter to someone.
Good luck with the second round.

I did look for someone to send an email to. The now head of Ruger doesnt take emails anymore. Gee I wonder why. Im not real sure who to send one to that might give a damn. If anyone has a suggestion Im all ears.

I would love to shoot with you and Bill anytime that might be able to take place. Thanks for the kind words and believe me I will send this back as many times as it takes them to get it right. Thats sad about the Uberti. I tried to find one of those in a longer barrel like you have a while back and there were none to be found.

Well I just got off the phone with the supervisor from the GP-100 line at Ruger. Aaron was inquiring about my gun and doing the function test with it. He did get it to do it while we were on the phone. There going to do some fine tuning to it and make sure it doesnt do that anymore. I also mention to him what my gunsmith told me after telling the story to him about it being possible that the hand was hanging in the extractor track that turns the cylinder. He also told me to keep the phone number and call him if something isnt right when it returns. Aaron was very good to speak with and after talking to him I am hoping this gun comes back in great condition

That's encouraging, Al. I think if you get it working, it will be a great gun for you.
