I had two loads of 7/8” clean gravel delivered yesterday and I spread it today. After a good rain it’s clean to walk on and won’t track mud into the garage.

It took me an hour and a half to place that rock just where I wanted it. The bottom side is pointed and sits two feet into the ground.

I scheduled the foam spray insulation for the 24th. I hope to have all the electrical work done by then and also have the chimney kit installed. Fall is approaching fast and I need to get a lot done in a very short time.

The electrical work is about half done. At least I have all the main lights working. I still have six more lights to cover the bench area which is to the left. If you look close you can see the fixtures.

Are the lights leds so you won't have to change them often?

Yes. 1,600 lumens each times 24. They use 15 watts each and can burn at 2,700, 3,000, 3,500, 4,000 or 5,000K. Average 20,000 hour burn time.

So even if you averaged having them on 20 hours every week they could last 20 years. Don't know about you but they would very likely outlast me. Quality leds do have a good life, I have a 100watt equivalent that's been on 24/7 for around 4 years and still going strong. That's 35,000 hours.

I’ve often wondered if the on/off cycle burns them out faster than just leaving them on.

LED Lighting
The operating life of a LED is unaffected by turning it on and off.
