It’s definitely nice to feel the cool air! We had 17 days in a row over 95* here. It’s not uncommon at all to clear 100*, but usually it’s a week in the upper 90s and low 100s before a day or two of cool, but 2.5 weeks of 100 is thankfully rare.

I also will mow today.

Woke up to 49 and we should see the mid 80’s later. Just got back from taking the dogs for a hike. Started out in a tee shirt and shorts and decided to add a light sweatshirt. Glad I did as it’s a bit cool down at the bottom of my place amongst all the ferns.

Heading over to Coeur d’alene Idaho here in a few. The guy I bought the pontoon boat for got the title from his credit union so now I can finally get it transferred and pay the tax and license. 8.1% sales tax here in Washington for me. Crap. Be nice to get the Idaho license numbers off the boat and the Idaho plate off the trailer. It is only a matter of time for someone in law enforcement to question me on that.

A high in the mid 80's & the humidity is sitting at 100%.
Maybe some back porch plinking here after while.

Rain rain please COME HERE! (Sorry Randy  )

53 this morning with sunny skies. Smoke isn’t too bad right now but it is expected to get worse. No morning news as the Olympics is on that channel. But I believe we should see the mid 80’s today, not too bad.

We’re thinking about taking a run up to the property tomorrow to take a look around and see how bad the growth is. If so, I’ll be throwing in a couple of Henry’s and a handgun or two in. Just might be some of those radical bowling pins skulking about.

No pictures but I found a patch of Chantarelle Mushrooms and Carol is preparing Fajitas with one chopped up.
With all the rain we've had mushrooms are appearing all over the place. The problem is identifying the ones that
you can eat and the poison ones.

I'll have my Fajita with a nice cold Hamm's beer in a can. :D

Or maybe I'll pour it into a chilled mug.

Been an unusually cool and green summer so far. They say this week coming will be hot as hell. Oh well... it was a good run while it lasted . Maybe the nasty hot will only last this week...... on we trudge anyway. Nice and cool out on the porch now.... so the coffee is still good. Do your best to enjoy life and all that there stuff whatever the weather is. Coffee up and go forth.🙂

Good morning, was 74° when I woke, up to 79° now with 97% humidity and headed towards the low 90's. How about a little Monday morning Marlin photo? Two Cowboys and a Texan. 😉

63 this morning with a high of 82 later. Yesterday the weather guy told me that we could expect some light rain in the afternoon. So knowing he has never been wrong with a forecast  we changed our plans to go up to the property and both inspect and shoot. I wanted to get home in order to do some mowing I’ve been waiting for rain to do. So we left early and made a quick inspection and by golly got home to light rain and I got the mowing done. Yea!

I was very happy with the condition of the property. The rv pad is nearly weed free but as expected the field is in need of a trim. Hopefully we’ll get some substantial rain and I’ll haul the tractor up and mow. We always spend a week or so up there grouse hunting (mid Sept) and I hope to have it mowed by then.

57 this morning, it was a real pleasant night with the windows open and the ceiling fan on. Woke up to both dogs sleeping under the window. Smart dogs. But, all good things must pass. 89 today, 93 tomorrow, 103 on Friday and 101 on Saturday. Then upper 90’s for the rest of next week. We were scheduled to leave for the lake Sunday but postponed due to the temps. The last trip we made was during the same type of temps and it wasn’t very comfortable during the night without A/C.

Played golf yesterday and it was a very pleasant day at 82 and partly overcast. Nice breeze too. Today is mow the lawn early and stay out of the heat.

Another 57 degree morning, very nice butt…….high later of 97. The next heat wave starts today with tomorrow being the hottest day at 103. Getting tired of this heat and tinder dry conditions. Hot all next week with temps in the upper 90’s all week.

After taking the dogs for a hike I plan to do some mowing and weed whacking while it’s still cool and the humidity is a little bit higher. This afternoon will be spent indoors.
