I returned the old S&W break top back to my local Cabela's this morning for a full refund. While waiting for the paperwork to get finished I spotted a Pietta 36 caliber 1851 Pepperbox and was the first time I had seen one up close. Have always had a like for those and the price was lower than what my refund was plus I got 10% off and brought it on home. I have plenty of Alliant Black MZ sitting around I need a use for and ordered up a box of the Hornady .36 cal. lead balls from Mid South Shooter Supply since none were around locally. Now the issue will be finding #10 caps...however I am working on shortening the nipples to hold Small Pistol primers which seem to work well in a dry fire. We will see how it works out!
