Yes indeed it does seem like there is a conspiracy amongst those little devils. Plus I fertilized the lawn before leaving so I’m sure it good and long.

next sojourn. My cousin from the St. Louis area and his wife stopped
in yesterday and we took them to a nice lunch. We'll see them again
on Monday at another cousin's funeral in Mankato. These days funerals
pass as family reunions.

Good morning. Man had a great day yesterday with the #2 GS.
Meet his mother and picked him up around 9, we went to one of the motorcycle dealers and got him a proper fitting helmet.
Ran by the local Academy store right quick for some primers, they usually as of late only let you get 400 per daily visit, but
yesterday the counter guy said they had plenty of the SRP so he let me have 600.
We then came home and he played in the pool for a little bit then wanted to the 4-wheeler down to the wooden bridge.
A favorite place to play for him and the cousins.
Came back ate some lunch, then we jumped on the ole Road King and rode for 3 hrs., visited a nature park for about 30 mins,
Then came home and had supper before going back to meet mom, and yes of course he wanted me to take him on the bike.
On the way home I ran into a little rain and got a bit wet. Was just glad it was on the way home vs going.
I then had a couple Cervezas

Ugh, same ugly temps expected here too. Nice job with the boat in the water. A couple of days ago I accused you of sending all that cold Canadian water to me on Roosevelt. Well, please send more as the beach we were on yesterday had a very sandy bottom that stayed shallow for 30+ feet. There the water was almost too warm.

Woke up to a high overnight of 67. That’s just wrong. Predicted high today is 104. Heading out here in a few to take the dogs for a hike and then mow the lawn. Then after putting the rv and boat away I plan to sit in my recliner and watch the last round of the British Open that is recording now. Best way to spend a hot day other than hitting the reloading bench. Gotta hit the unloading bench first.

It’s 69 out there, way too warm for 6:00 am. Hazy skies to the east and a light overcast to the west is making for some interesting colors out there. Haze is from wildfire smoke which certainly makes for interesting colors in the sky at sunrise. Last day in triple digits and by Thursday we could see a high of “only” 82. Hope so!

Today I’ll pull the motorhome out of the shop as I forgot to empty the water tank and water heater. What a dolt! Not a big deal to pull it out other than to move all crap I have under and behind it. Did I mention what a dolt I am.

What a difference a day can make. Woke up to 60 compared to the upper 60’s lately. Opened both the front and back doors and sat in my recliner enjoying the cool breeze coming thru. Took the dogs for a hike and it was nice and cool on the trail. But we will probably see the upper 80’s today but the cool down continues for the next few days. On Thursday the high is 79. Not that’s more like it!

Not sure what the day will bring but at least it’s safe to go outside.

It’s a wonderful 52 outside, what a relief from the 60’s I’ve been waking up to recently. But the high today is 90 so I’ll enjoy the temps for now. Spokane is in a record run of consecutive 90+ degree days sitting at 20. Previous record was 16 days so unfortunately the new record is kicking butt. Tomorrow should be the end of it as we have a cold front coming in. Which means we will have winds and will be under another fire warning for temp/humidity/wind. A dangerous combination indeed.

This morning before it gets hot I’m planning on washing the boat. When we got home last weekend it was too stinking hot to do that. We’re heading out again in a little over a week.

61 right now with a nice cool breeze coming thru the house. High today is only 77, how bout that! But this cold front has the typical accompanying winds at 20 mph gusting to 30. That’s scary for sure.

Good day for me to mow the lawn and do other outdoor chores after a run into town with my wife. Cool enough for the dogs to go to doggie day care for a romp too.

Army Air Force vet was 98 and a half and was on Tinian and watched them

The cold front is here with a vengeance. Official Deer Park temp is 42. Damn near a frost alert. My thermometer reads 48 and man does it feel great. Also the smoke cleared out so we are having a normal yellow sun this morning. High today is 82 or so. We were planning on heading back up to the lake a week from Sunday but again triple digits are forecast for that week. So I canceled the reservation and I’ll reschedule it for a bit later when hopefully it cools down to normal temps.

Didn’t get the lawn mowed yesterday so that’s on today’s agenda. Living on the edge …
