56 this morning. Opened up the doors quickly and the air is fresh. 81 today with a rapid warmup starting tomorrow. We may see 100 by next Tuesday. That’s crazy. It’s going to be a hot 4th of July weekend and that’s not good with all the idiots out there doing idiotic things that start wildfires. Fireworks are banned in Spokane county but not in the surrounding counties where most folks go to camp and party.

Today we’re finally taking the boat out for the shakedown cruise. Sometimes life gets in the way causing delays. Great to be retired and be able to say, “oh well, we’ll do it tomorrow”.

A late good morning from central W TN, already up to 88 and headed towards the mid 90's.
Was out running errands yesterday and stopped by one of the local WW's and scored some 410's . $15.95 for the 8 shot Fed., and $16.98 a box for the 9 shot Winchesters, plus taxes of course.

Happy 4th of July everyone.

50 when I got up with bright sunshine out there. Today’s high is supposed to be in the upper 80’s and at 10:00 tonight when the firework shows are scheduled to start it’s expected to still be 78. That’s a great temperature to have while sitting in the park downtown watching the show. Then all HELL arrives starting Saturday. We are under an excessive heat warning that is expected to last for several days. Temps of 102 are forecast . That’s not unheard of around here but still on the upper end of our temperature range. Plus it’s still pretty early in the year for temps like this.

My neighbor had a mama moose with twin calves visit her pond. Here’s a great pic of the babies.

Happy 4th of July all. Weather here has been rainy and cool, very much a blessing. Supposed to warm up next week. Off to the Calgary Stampede tomorrow for the rodeo amd take in the sights.

53 with a filtered sun right now and a high in the upper 80’s expected. Last day of semi normal temps as our severe heat warning starts tomorrow with upper 90’s for the weekend and next week several days in triple digits. A couple of days may see a new record high. Yuk. Thankfully we had enough appointments and commitments next week we didn’t schedule out trip to the lake until the following. Karma baby!

Planning on getting out early for both a hike with the dogs and mowing the lawn. Then I will be pouring the water to it on the areas I have to water by hand.

57 on my thermometer now and somewhere in the 90’s expected later. Local weather folks are still in bed but that’s what I heard last night. Today starts our heat which is expected to last all week. Looks to be outside work in the morning and inside time in the afternoon. Thanks for A/C.

Heading out here shortly to take the dogs for a hike before it gets too hot. They love the romp we take most days.
