Fair, 70°F, Humidity 73%
Wind Speed W 8 mph
Barometer 29.79 in
Dewpoint 61°F
Visibility 10.00 mi
A high near 82.
West wind 5 to 10 mph.
A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10am, then gradual clearing.
Chance of precipitation is 50%.
We went with gun club friends to a supper club last evening and had a really nice time.
When it clears up today I plan to work on the Winnebago. Summer trips are coming up.
I noticed this leaf sticking to the door of the pole barn and then realized it wasn't leaf
at all. I have never seen anything like this.

That IS a very strange looking moth. I saw a couple up at the cottage last year and like you said, I also thought it was a leaf.

Probably a 'Blinded Sphinx' with wings folded. Have you seen it with wings unfolded? There would be eye looking spots on the expanded wings.cooperhawk wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2024 9:21 am...

68 degrees this morning heading towards 100 again today. It's already been hot. Record high for this date is 100 degrees. We may break it today.
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Woke up this morning in Malibu Ca. We’re in an rv park just across the Pacific Coast Hwy from Malibu beach. There was a marine layer this morning but it has burned off and it’s sunny and nice. With the offshore breeze it probably won’t get too hot.
This inlander has to admit to something. When we got here last night I kept hearing this roar which sounded like a big wind gust. Couldn’t figure it out until I looked at the ocean and saw the surf pounding the shore.
Damn mountain boys anyway.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
I bought a rain gauge earlier this month. When I went to bed last night it had about .65” in it for the one week it’s been out. It surprised me this morning. The weather app said we received .7” in the last 24 hours.

shooting demos with it. Reluctantly I sold it to a cousin who wanted to hunt deer with it. Then he died.
I asked his widow to sell it back to me, but I guess she can't find it.
It's a well made six gun.
