New used Leupold

Post by Hatchdog » Tue Jun 04, 2024 5:12 pm

I have an AR in 300 BO that had a 1-4x scope with mil adjustments. Not only do I really not care for mil adjustments 4x just wasn’t enough power to shoot this rifle accurately at 100 yards. I’ve been looking for a replacement scope and today I stopped into my local pawn shop and they had a selection of used and new Leupold VX Freedom scopes. Picked up this used 3-9x40 with rings and the original box for $200, $100 off retail for a new one. Don’t have it mounted yet as the previous scope was a 30mm tube and this is 1”. Happy camper here.

Nothing like some new glass to reignite interest in a rifle.
Looks like you got some rings with it too.

I need to pick up a 1” cantilevered mount for it but I’ll probably wait until we get home from our trip. I agree getting an upgrade for any firearm always peaks renewed interest. Something to look forward to in a few weeks.
