We got an early start to the day today. One load of laundry is already in the dryer. Then, I did some badly needed maintenance on the watergarden, swapping out the waterfall filter and pulling leaves out of the pond. Now, I'm looking over this site while also watching the hoard of grackles and redwing blackbirds that are decimating the bird feeders. They're like a rowdy motorcycle gang terrorizing the neighborhood. Forktail the Squirrel came for peanuts about an hour ago; Paige, the cat loves when she comes to visit.

80 F. Here for Sat. April 2 and 70% chance of rain. Sunny and a little dryer air and a bit cooler is the forecast for next week. I dread summer coming.

Very windy with gusts up to 45mph and it is supposed to get really cold in the next two days, for this time of year.

I got an early start this morning. Got up with my wife at 4:00AM and made her coffee while she was getting ready for work. She passed on having breakfast so I had an early breakfast and started getting ready for todays gun show. Just a small fire mans show but I like the small shows the best.
Maybe find some thing I can't do with out. Calling for snow and high winds here tonight so we will see what happens with that.

Dark here still. Will put some miles on a horse today. Should be a beautiful spring day. Calves dropping all over the countryside now. Have a great day folks. Adios for now.

Going for my second cup of Rio Grande dark roast from the Keurig. Have to cut grass today, then the wind is to pick up to 45mph this afternoon.

I got together a bunch of dvds that we have watched many, many times for another donation to our local library. Some more westerns, several mysteries, etc.

We are keeping our absolute favorite westerns and a couple of classic movies and the rest of them are getting donated.

We have a few more books that may get donated too. We intend to keep our absolute favorites in a small group.

Almost all (99.5%) of my very large collection of books were donated to my former library and a few were gifted, back east, before and after my late husband died. I don't regret the donations there. I gifted a few of the ones that I brought out west with me too. Books were always the very last thing that I would get rid of for many years. That was up until my middle 40's and to the age of 51 years old when I moved away from the house that I built and lived in for all of those years.

Friday was a productive day. We had a nice evening too.

I was going to get out the lawn mower on Friday and my husband told me that he most likely would mow our town lot on Saturday. It was pretty nice out on Friday and it is supposed to be nice today too.

Have a nice Saturday!

Woke up to a couple inches of spring snow
Got the coffe brewing. Most of my outdoor plans are shot by the snow. Now I've got to decide if I'll spend the day reloading or painting the livingroom.

Been cleaning out the den the last couple of days...it has been a "storage room" since we moved into this small apartment, and I just keep on running into less & less space! :( But as I unstacked the stacks of stuff, I bumped into two brand new Henry mugs that I had "lost" in this room.

Ah, I'm safe on future cups of double mocha!
Enjoy the weekend ahead.

The rain has returned after almost a week of sunshine. Steven's Pass still has 84 inches of snow.

Here in Jonesboro, Georgia the sun is out, clear skies, 56 degrees, but it is rather breezy. All in all a great looking day! However, pollen is ruining a good day to be outside. Oh well, can't have everything perfect. I have been feeling like I need to get out and clean up the yard some. But, as I have found out from experience, if I lie down, that feeling will pass.
