Praying for back to sanity in 6 months.
Re: Shame on NY
The sham trial which ended yesterday in New York City reminds me of a Soviet show trial. Strictly for political reasons in a city of demoncrats.
What a travesty.
What a travesty.
Re: Shame on NY
What is interesting about NY, is that if you look at the election maps showing each county and how they voted in the red/blue color coding, it shows that the areas around NYC as blue, and small areas near Buffalo and Albany as blue, but the overwhelming majority of the state is red. I can say that where I live, there are nothing but Trump flags, and Cuomo was just about universally despised for his Safe Act and other bits of restrictive legislation.
Re: Shame on NY
I doubt this thread wil be up long, as it’s obviously “political”, but I’ll Chuck my 2 bits in anyway. I don’t watch the “news”. Most media is manipulated by one special interest group or another, and the typical “if it bleeds, it leads” is not my style. So I didn’t realize they were still proceeding with the trial.
My main point is, isn’t there someone GOOD that could run for the GOP? Trump is great in some ways, but overall, he’s gong show contestant… Not that we are doing any better up north.

Although Trump was and will be a great President, the above could be said for both parties.

Re: Shame on NY
Is it set to be Trump vs Biden again, or are there other candidates looking for their spot on the ticket as well?

I know what I had before the last 4 years and have enjoyed much much less this past 4 years so doesn't take much brain energy to see the light.

Re: Shame on NY
Well, I'm sure this thread will be blocked soon but here is how I see it.
It's not about Trump at all. What it's all about is our system of free and fair elections and our trust in our legal system.
This country has been the envy of the world because it was run by the people, not by some despot or dictator.
Now both parties, (or any new party), will have to worry about this kind of corrupt legal action to have them arrested
or even executed. This was, and I suppose still is, the way banana republics operate. For instance Haiti right now. From
what I've read Brazil is still trying to recover from this as well.
Right now the US voting public is nervous about the honesty of the last election and now with this travesty of the legal
system they will start to lose faith in our system of justice as well. Say what you will about big money controlling everything,
the public at least felt they were in charge.
Now all that will change.

Re: Shame on NY
There are some others, but have just about zero chance of winning. All they will do is shift some votes around. Sometimes that would be good for "your guy" and sometimes not.

As you all may have guessed, this is locked.
Go someplace else to talk about politics. Let's enjoy each others good company otherwise.
