Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Setting up camp for a few days later this week. Did a little cleanup there today. Little wedge tent, coffee on the fire and burn some black powder in the flintlock.

Yes sir. 5 min walk to the range. Best of both worlds.

Wind Speed NW 14 G 22 mph
Barometer 30.06 in
Dewpoint 52°F
Visibility 5.00 mi
A high near 65.
Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 1pm. Mostly cloudy.

After yesterday I slept in and plan to take a day of rest.
It all went well except it rained on us most of the day. Still, wherever we went to do the
Memorial Day Salute there were crowds waiting for us in the rain. They thank us as we
disperse to move on.

51 and cloudy and as I look out the window I see the patio is wet. Just got in from taking the dogs out to the trees for their relief and it wasn’t raining. Sure timed that good.
Possible thunderstorms later but mostly a dry day. Heading into Spokane this morning for a blood draw for our physicals tomorrow.

Ruby was always quite upset the few times deer would jump over the fence into her pasture and she would stare at them intently when they were on the surrounding hillsides. I think she maybe thought they were big dogs that would go after her goats, she was very protective of them.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
41 with sunny skies and a trip to the 60’s later. Possible thunderstorms this afternoon otherwise some light rain here and there. Tonight we have a frost warning for my area and north. Thankfully we don’t have any tender plants to worry about.
Making a trip to Idaho today including meeting a guy to sell him a Leupold scope. It’s a Mark AR 3-9x with mil adjustments which I really don’t like. Also we are planning to stop at a Spokane Valley boat shop and look at a pontoon boat. Just never satisfied…..

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
A very sunny day: a low of 43 and a high 75: currently 55. Traveling to the big city today go for groceries and prescriptions. So another non-eventful day (boring)! Everyone have a great day,

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
WTH??? Woke up to 34 on my thermometer but the official Deer Park temp is 28
. I have some light frost on the roof of the house but the lawn is just dewy. I just double checked the calendar and yes it’s May 30th. We’re heading up to a campground on Sunday thru Wed to give the pup some campground training before we leave for California week after next. Might have some rain on Monday.
Looked at a couple of pontoon boats we liked and of course the one we liked best is way over budget. We would like to not have a boat payment but buying the one we liked would require some financing.
Tempting… the one available here locally has the Merc 90 hp on it and is just north of 40K

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Well, it's June isn't it. I just had my first altercation with an Alligator Snapping Turtle. Every year about
this time one of them gets into our swimming pool. Then begins the battle to net the beast and drag it out.
This year it was a smaller one, but it was determined to stay in the pool, so we had a battle. In the end, with
a bent pole and a ripped net, once again I prevailed. Now go lay your damn eggs in my yard you prehistoric beast!

Hey Coop, I can just see you running around your pool with that net fishing for that snapper. I can’t stop chuckling
46 this morning which is much nicer than yesterday’s 34. It’s overcast and kinda gloomy out but I don’t recall any mention of rain for today. We’re leaving tomorrow for a few days on Lake Roosevelt giving the pup his first campground experience. He’s been in the RV twice for several nights and has done fine. But that was at our place without the distraction of any other dogs or people. In a couple of weeks we are heading to California (Malibu) to visit the kids and we’re taking the RV. The little guy will get lots of RV time on that trip.
