Great that you got the gig, Bish, and that it turned out so well. Nice set of drums, too. You got my toe tapping!
I gigged for over 8 years in Chicago area with my trio instrumental group...we called ourselves "Embers." Guess we thought we were "hot stuff!"

Anyway, I'm certain the music was of a different type back then compared to your tunes today. On the rock side, we actually specialized in mostly Beatles' songs, along with the other groups that brought in those sounds. The Beatles in particular wrote some quite interesting music turns and a lot of cool syncopation. Was much fun (and a challenge) to try and recreate their sound as closely as possible
without the vocal parts! My brother played both an electric guitar and a 12-string acoustical guitar. I played keyboard and we had our drummer. From time-to-time we'd have a vocalist join us, but mostly did straight instrumental.
We became somewhat "sought after" during those eight years. The reason we stopped playing is because I enlisted in the Air Force in late 60s, and the two others went their own ways. Almost two years after we dis-"band"-ed, we still had some calls to play. It was a busy and fun time. I still play, but have not gigged for years. My wife is my current main audience-of-one, and I still get lovely applause from her!
Not least, appreciated hearing that "Prayers worked for me." That always happens, and I'm glad of it, too.
Thanks for sharing your pics and talent. Like others have said, looking forward to hearing some of your sounds!

Would love to see a video! What's the name of your band?
Thank you, everyone. Next gig, hopefully before year end, will have a vid or two to share.
The name of the band is Sugar Daddys.
With the excitement from the new crowd of fans, we are calling them Sugar Babys. I about died with laughter when our singer "deemed" them that. It was hilarious and they all bought in.
I found a post on Facebook yesterday that was from another musician that had posted a prayer for his gig to go well. I read it, spoke it, thought it and lived it last night. Prayers worked for me.
So I had little talk with the powers above, on my way home from the gig, thanking him for watching over me and everyone else that was at the show.
I'm so lucky.
