Re: Range Report: daily plinking
I shoot mostly from our deck, so I just sweep up brass after a few plinking sessions. Not a big deal, since we don't get many visitors other than squirrels and chipmunks up on the deck at times.

Re: Range Report: daily plinking
I don't worry about 'em in the yard much, but the ones on the deck or patio I pick up and throw them in a box with the other scrap brass that is un-useable for reloading.

I pick mine up from the driveway and grass. I don't want to find them any more stuck in car or tractor tires. In grass and gravel some of them stand up after landing.

Re: Range Report: daily plinking
Well had some fun plinking with the new companion to my Uberti 1873 44 Mag Carbine....old model Ruger Vaquero Bisley in 44 Mag made in 1998. Hard to find sometimes I search Guns International and Gunbroker and found only one with the Bisley grip and a 5.5 inch barrel. It shoots my loads a bit low and may trim the front sight a little.

Re: Range Report: daily plinking
Thanks Gene! I installed a spring kit in it today and will adjust my grip on it which will let the revolver rotate a bit more in my hand. I may have had too tight a hold on it. Also just give a little more front blade showing and go for a 6 o'clock hold on target. Do all you can before you touch that front sight ! It was hot in that sun yesterday too so I forgot a few things!

Re: Range Report: daily plinking
Today’s featured plinking was done at dusk. I tried to snap the picture to get some muzzle flash but never clicked at the right time. Still it was fun to see in person.

Yeah that is tough to do holding camera in one hand and shooting with the other. Maybe a flash trigger app for it?
Re: Range Report: daily plinking
Next time try taking a video. Then extract a 'frame grab' picture of the flash with your video editing software.
