It was a dark and stormy morning. Morning???? Oh yeah, we changed the clocks. Yesterday dawn was cracking, the roosters were crawing , the birds were chirping and the cows were lowing Today it’s dark and quiet. Grrrrrrr what a whiner I am.

39 and cloudy this morning with rain and possible thunderstorms in the forecast. Thunderstorms are a sure sigh of spring. Yeah baby!

My wife has a minor mohs surgery today so I’ll be dropping her off and coming back home to be on puppy patrol. If it’s not raining I’ll take the dogs for a hike. I have a trail on my place with a long and short loop. Long loop is a half mile with a drop down/climb up that is a nice hike. Short loop is about half that and eliminates the elevation change so it’s a good start for the pup. We did it yesterday and he had a look of joy on his face to be out of the yard. No leash needed and he did a great job of staying with me and the adult dog.

63 as this is being typed ... predicted high 72 on a truly beautiful day in our neighborhood .... next mention of showers is Friday and Saturday .... looks like our streak of rainy weekends will continue .... only appointment on my schedule for today is the first physical therapy session to address some mobility issues

Spring has sprung. I head for Madison on Thursday for more tests and return Saturday. Then after church on Sunday I head for Necedah which is where my teardrop was born. It’s going back for some electrical upgrades on Monday. Then on Tuesday I return home. The snow blower never got used once this winter and I ran it till it ran out of gas.

I hope you're right Gene but I've lived in Minnesota long enough to see snow in April,
and wet snow at that. Don't trust it.

From that picture I'd never guess northern Wisconsin in March. I know it's nice though. It was 44 earlier here, heading to mid 70's. Looking like a nice day. Been using a pole saw and chainsaw last couple days and hauling off the limbs and small trees. You can guess how I'm feeling this morning, but got a few more smaller limbs to drag/haul off.

Deja Vu all over again .... yesterday when we arrived for the physical therapy appointment mentioned in yesterday's post, we learned my appointment was not for yesterday, it is for today .... so we will shortly head back over there .... 49 this morning on its way 78 later this afternoon under a beautiful Carolina Blue sky .... they are lowering the chance of rain over this coming weekend .... Maureen has some stuff due to be delivered today by UPS that requires an adult's signature for delivery .... that complicates things but isn't a major issue

31 this morning when I got up and now that it’s light I’m seeing blue skies with streaks of sunshine here and there. Today is the beginning of several days of sun and warm. I believe we can declare that spring has sprung.

Big event for me today is making a trip to the refuse transfer station I accumulate my dump stuff on my 18’ utility trailer and it’s pretty full. Mostly cardboard which goes into the recycle bin. I need to move this trailer to a new location so it needs to be emptied. I have run out of room to store under cover as the Jeep has kicked my pickup out of the garage. So the pickup will kick the trailer out from under the lean to on the side of the shop. So the poor trailer will be out in the elements. I’ll probably put a heavy duty tarp on it. It does have a vertical storage loading ramp on it plus side rails and both are going to make tarping difficult.

yet another cool but beautiful morning in the neighborhood ... 46 now on its way to a predicted high of 82 ... if it does, this will be our first day to reach 80 in 2024 .... other than hauling trash, I hope to begin cleaning and reorganizing our camper's basement (storage area) ... there are some very handy things in there that haven't come out in years ..Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) :rolleyes:.. its well past time to move them out so that we can move other stuff in

Woke up to a dark 23 this morning. My wife did a mild complaint about the temp and I reminded her that this time of the year to enjoy the warm sunny afternoons we must still endure the clear cold nights.

Just returned home from dropping the Jeep off at the dealer. They agreed to replace a broken marker light at the sale and also we discovered the drivers side door proximity lock/unlock isn’t working. The dealer incudes a 3000 mile 60 day warranty so the repair will be no charge. There’s a wonderful donut shop near the dealer so I’m enjoying a giant maple bar as I type this. Yum!

spring weather still is in control in our area of central NC .... mostly cloudy, 54 degrees now on its way to 79 this afternoon .... a most impressive storm front shown on weather radar over the NC mountains is on its way .... they say the Blue Ridge Range will take a good deal of steam out of it and that by they time it gets here later this afternoon it will be much weaker .... not a very exciting day on tap for us .... hauling trash this morning .... working on camper as weather permits this afternoon

27 here is the great north. We’re looking at a high of 57 today and warmer every day thru the middle of next week. Then a cool down with highs back in the 40’s. Must be March I do have my first golf outing planned for Monday when we could see 65.

Got my utility trailer tarped yesterday and as usual I way overdid it. Used way too many bungee cords and it’s going to be a pain in the butt to uncover and re-cover. Think I’ll just leave it uncovered spring/summer/fall and tarp it in the winter. I don’t use it in the winter unless I have to take my tractor to my son’s place if the snow gets too difficult for him to move with his garden tractor mounted blower. I might have to break down and spend the money on one of those soft sided garage units. I see a pretty nice one that is supposed to shed snow on Amazon for under $600.
