I did and it does, but when reading the specs, it states that it come with so "if" you want one it is provided.

Not too surprised. Hey, Ruger has been offering Hunter versions of their single actions with built in scope mounts for many years. It's been their answer for folks who use revolvers for hunting and want to go scope, obviously.
