Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Another pleasant (not) 13 degree start to the day. But thankfully when we get these temps this time of the year we also have blue skies and a lukewarm sun. 40 this afternoon which will feel great. Two days ago we got 2” of snow and yesterday we had a gruapel storm so intense it was nearly a total whiteout. Thankfully these type of storms only last for 10 - 15 minutes. Interesting when you are in a whiteout yet you can see sunshine a mile away.
Got all the flat tow parts ordered from e Trailer yesterday so soon we’ll be on the road with a tow car.

Rain and more rain! We are well above what was normal for the 2023-24 winter season and now rolling into a wet early spring.

in a word, cooler .... in another word, rain .... so its a sit inside and look out a window type of day .... that will end when we have to get out and pickup our oldest grandson at school .... his other grandmother usually does so but she's come down with Covid so we are helping out .... currently 58 degrees, yesterday was 74 .... we are due to be camping this weekend .... weather Friday, Sunday and Monday looks good .... Saturday looks to be another washout

I’m at the Madison VA Hospital having an MRI done. This place is huge and most of it looks fairly new. It’s in the 60’s and sunny.
I was here at a motel last night and will spend another night here before driving the 215 miles home.

Cold and clear. That’s what the weatherman said this morning and I replied to him, “no s&%$”.
It only dropped to 14 last night but the forecast is for around 40 and sunny today. Tomorrow is a transition day getting overcast but warmer with mid 40’s. Then four days of on and off rain leading to a warmer and drier period.
No plans for the day other than taking the dogs for a walk on a leash. Time to start leash training the puppy. Could be a rodeo.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
A downright balmy 20 this morning but overcast which explains the warmup. Today is supposed to be cloudy but warm with a high of 44ish later. Other than reloading the firewood rack on the patio I have nothing “exciting” planned for the day.

Good morning, same around here Ozark, today and tomorrow then gonna be up in the 70's. Was 49° when I got up, cloudy and only 52 for a high.
Played with these two yesterday some, 173 gr cast over some unique and red dot. Mild and accurate enough for a little fun.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
29 with a light overcast that the sun is trying to penetrate. Clouds moving in around mid day leading to rain today and tomorrow. Be nice to melt off the snow and see the “brown” grass again.
The extended forecast looking to next weenend is for sunny and warm and we may see 50. Next Saturday is the annual Spokane St. Patrick’s Day parade which is a big deal here. Nice to see we may have nice weather for it.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
we are on our first club camping trip of 2024 .... we are at Raleigh Oaks Campground just off I-95 near Four Oaks, NC .... we had beautiful weather yesterday for our drive and setup .... rain and dropping temps moved in sometime after midnight and is still very much with us .... 57 on its way to 68, falling to the mid 30's tonight .... the rain should move out in a few hours but the cooler temps will hang around .... the ladies have gone to the outlet mall just up the road .... I'm settled in getting ready for a series of ACC basketball games .... tomorrow and Monday when we pack up and head back home should be much better

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
I saw on the news this morning that Carolina got hit with savage T-Storms overnight.
Hope all is well JE.
Here's where we are for about two more weeks.

33 heading to 40 something but cloudy skies and rain expected. Just had a brief snowstorm but nothing is sticking. We saw 50 yesterday, that was nice.
Other than changing the clocks today I have nothing planned. February and the first half of March are my least favorite months. Come on spring!

what a difference a day can make .... yesterday steady rain where we are camped near Four Oaks, NC .... today not a cloud in the sky .... yesterday steady wind .... today gusting wind .... yesterday a very damp chill in the air .... today chilly but much less humid ... yesterday had to keep electric heaters going .... today with the sun coming in have had to cut on the AC .... yesterday our camping club surrounded us .... today all but us have packed up and headed home .... we decided to stay an extra day and a most happy we did .... this is our first outing since early December and we use it to test all of the camper's systems .... we have two more of these club trips before we are scheduled to head for South Dakota in late May .... so far all camper systems seem to be GO .... my single worry going into the weekend was the sensors in the camper's black tank .... back in December we poured in a healthy shot of enzymes and parked with the black tank 2/3rds full .... the 1/3 and 2/3 sensors were contaminated and sending false signals to the system monitor panel .... the enzymes are designed clean not only the inside of the tank but the sensors as well .... a little while ago I spent most of an hour running the tank flusher and was pleasantly surprised at how well they worked .... no false levels displayed on the monitor and now seeing very clear water coming out of the tank ....

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
32 when we woke up, only expect to be in the upper 40's when we get out and hookup our camper ..... they say a most pleasant warming trend is approaching that will push the day temps into the low 70's for the rest of this week ... we've had a good, long weekend camping at Four Oaks and are looking forward to coming back next month
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
It was a dark and stormy morning. Morning???? Oh yeah, we changed the clocks. Yesterday dawn was cracking, the roosters were crawing , the birds were chirping and the cows were lowing Today it’s dark and quiet. Grrrrrrr
what a whiner I am.
33 but no cloud report because I can’t see them, oops there I go again. Rain today with 40’s for the high. There is a suggestion that by this weekend we may see mid to upper 50’s and sunshine. Weather guy said the average day we see 60 is March 21 and we may beat that this year. Hope so.
Most of the snow has melted and for that I’m thankful. Didn’t have much but what we did have was clinging on like a bad habit. Good riddance.
