From Coop

“ Sunny, with a high near 77”

Sigh!

Here it’s 32 with a thin overcast with a high in the upper 30’s. Rain/snow coming in later. Yesterday was one of those days with rain/snow/graupel/wind, yeah a typical late February day in the inland northwest. So we decided to go to the Jeep dealer and spend time outside in this crap looking at a Jeep. We have been keeping our eye on this 2021 Sahara model so we tried the old last day of the month trick. Don’t know if that helped especially on a used model. But while in the negotiating process the sales kid, yep a kid just starting out, brought out the big gun (Sales Mgr). My wife asked him how far he would discount it from their asking price and he said, “hundreds but not thousands”. So my wife offered him “fifteen hundreds” and he accepted it.

I’ll post more later but next up is to get it set up for towing.

Pinning away for Casa Grande again…

Winter is back with a vengeance. 2” of snow yesterday and currently it’s 20 degrees but nice and sunny. Cold week ahead with highs in the mid 30’s and lows in the lower 20’s to upper teens. On and off minor disturbances but nothing that will amount to anything.

Spent way too many hours yesterday at the county GOP convention. My first and definitely my last. Left home at 7:30 and returned at 8:00 PM. Interesting day but way too long.

Today I’ll take the Jeep out on our slippery roads and give it a workout.

51 earlier, 61 now on its way to 71 later this afternoon .... shorts and sandals .. :D .. hope to be able to get our "New and Improved" tool kits in our Sportchassis ..... as a standard practice we keep a wide range of hand and power tools in our truck .... over time having them has come in really handy during our travels .... beside that, I hate being being away from home and needing a tool that I know I have a back home ..... over time I've ended up with considerable tool duplication which has reached the point that I need to reorganize .... looking forward to the Cup race at Vegas this afternoon

Yeah, it snowed way more than I was interested in after coming home from the beach

I have been asked to sit on our local council’s “planning and advisory council” which deals with building related applications. I was interested, but after attending the annual open house for the regional district, I feel like my time would be much better spent with a fishing rod and beer in my hands…

31 heading to the mid 30’s is all. Another inch or so of snow overnight, the pup is loving running around in it. Stormy today and tomorrow then sunny and cold for a few days. Sure wish spring would show up.

Mostly indoor chores today but my adult dog and I need to take a hike in the fresh snow. No snowshoes required

Hey Coop and BigAl,

Happy to report it’s 13 frigging degrees here right now  But we do have a warm up in the forecast with a high of 39 and sunny. Same for the next four days then a little warm up with some rain/snow coming.

My wife looked at me about an hour ago and said, “let’s move to Tennessee”. She’s a big news junkie and says some of the folks on Fox News have moved there.

Mostly cloudy, with a high near 73.
Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon.
We've been riding our E-Bikes quite a bit now. They do take some
getting used to but once you get the hang of it they're fun. I chose
a low power setting so I get a fair amount of exercise. We're invited
out for dinner tonight.
We went Trap Shooting yesterday afternoon. The ranges are out on
the desert and quite large at that. I had not shot a shotgun for five
years or more but managed a pair of 17s. I'm happy with that. I'm
not really a Trap shooter as I've shot mostly skeet in my life. Maybe
shot Trap a dozen times now.

Cloudy and 50F. Possibly going to 55F. It should rain most of the day.
Coffee in a Boy Scout mug this am.
Some errands perhaps. Nothing major.

I hope you all have a great day.
