Woke up to a balmy 39 and if we see some sun today we could have temps in the mid 40’s. I’d say spring is here but with the forecast low of 20 in a couple of days I won’t say it! And maybe some measurable snow next week. Crap!

Nothing planned for the day other than playing in the sunshine if it comes. Yesterday there was a promise of some sun breaks but it rained on and off all day. The right at sundown we finally saw some of course.

The high yesterday was 52 and the low tonight will be 6. A person doesn’t know how to dress for the day.

Gene, it was 72 on Wed. yesterday it was a breezy 62 and today about the same with less wind.
The low's haven't been bad as yours, back into the 70's Sun-Tues. then back down.
But it's been like that here all my life.
Year before last New year's day was wet and cold don't remember the exact temp., then this year it was sunny and low 50's.

I'm about to go score some lead, got a guy from Castboolits that lives about 45 mins from me that buys and smelts the stuff for resale.
He contacted me earlier in the week that he had 95 lbs. available if I wanted it before he posted it on the forum.
It's a $1.25 per lb plus a few gals. of gas to and from. Hard to pass on the deal.

Then we have a little birthday party this afternoon for our Great-grandson, he'll be one tomorrow.

Winters back. 30 now but a nice mid 40’s later with sun maybe if the fog burns off. Nice tomorrow then Sunday the weather takes a turn and snow is expected Monday and Tuesday. No predictions yet on how much snow. Once again yesterday we got some sun right at sundown, thanks for nothing

My dog and I took a hike yesterday on our place. Behind me there are four 10 acre empty parcels running perpendicular to mine and the third one over had a guy with a masticator on a skid steer doing some clearing. So Trey and I crossed over to inspect his work. We timed it perfectly as he was sitting in his pickup probably eating lunch. In between my place and the parcel being worked on I ran across these interesting trees. I think they started out as separate trees but now the stumps have grown together. The smaller tree wraps around the larger one almost completing a full circle.

Good morning, 45 here at the moment with a high later in the mid 50's and full sun. ;)

Well, I made the short trek NW about 36 miles to meet the gentleman about the lead.
Very nice guy and recently widowed, we ended up talking for over an hour about casting, guns, and family.
He showed me his casting and reloading area, he has a nice setup.
While showing me around, he was talking about his smelting pot which was made from a large piece of pipe that a friend had fixed up for him.
When he uncovered it there were 5 ingots sitting in it, he picked them up and said heck just add these to your box. :o
Cool thanks I said, so an extra 5+ lbs for the same money.
He said he has quite a bit more to process, so I'll likely be paying him another visit or two in the future.
He's 81 and trying to get rid of it so his sons don't have to fool with it. Enjoyed the time immensely.

Then we went and saw the great-grandson, was funny my daughter had made a small chocolate cake for him to smash.
He played with it for a short min., once he tasted. Ooh, what a face, he didn't care for that at all.

Pretty darn good Fri. here I'll say. Not sure what's on the agenda for the day, haven't heard whether or not the grandson is coming over yet today.
If not heck I might pull out the ole casting pot and try making a boolit or two. I do need to cast up some of those 320+ gr for the 444's. ;)

34 with a thin overcast that the sun is trying to defeat. 40 or so later. Yesterday we finally got the sunshine predicted. Had a real nice afternoon of sunshine and warm temps. Nice again today but storms moving in tomorrow bringing in 40+ mph winds, rain and possible snow. Pretty much staying stormy for the entire upcoming week.

Today I plan to back the motor home out and run the motor and the generator. Also my portable generator that powers the home in the event of an outage. With these winds predicted that is possible. Then Trey-dog and I will hike over to the parcel that’s getting the limb/thin trim for some more exploring. The crew shouldn’t be there today so we can do a more in depth inspection  .

39 this morning are we could see upper 40’s later. But a cold front is on the way and it will start with winds 40-50 gusts and sustained speeds 30+. Then cold temps with lows in the lower 20’s again and possible some snow. Overcast right now with rain forecast here shortly.

Trey-dog and I did our inspection of the thinning/limping work nearby yesterday and we agreed they are doing a fine job. Here’s a pic of the masticator that’s doing the work and a pic of an area that has been thinned. It still need to be limbed so the crew will limb up the remaining trees 6-8’ and then the machine will grind up the limbs.

Yes, I'm still alive. I've just been too darn busy lately with repair work. It's a nice sunny day and already 71° at 11:00 a.m. (almost) and will get to 80° by afternoon. We're supposed to have 80 degree weather until Thursday when a cool front comes through. I'm off to CVS to pick up my prescriptions.

Mostly Cloudy, 57°F
Mostly cloudy, with a high near 75.
South southwest wind 6 to 11 mph.
Patchy blowing dust after noon.
We got here yesterday afternoon after a long drive from
Sunrise Beach, TX. Today I will visit with a Vietnam friend
from long ago. We stopped and saw him last year as well.
We plan to leave Wednesday morning for Casa Grande, Az, but
there are high winds forecast for Tuesday into Wednesday so
we'll see about that. Maybe we'll leave Thursday.

It was 68° this morning on the dog walk and it's the same at this writing. Got some more work to do but slowly thinning the items in the queue to a reasonable amount. Later,
Jake

32 with beautiful blue sky this morning but the high is only around 38 due to the cold front that arrived yesterday. Maybe some light snow later but nothing that will require attention. Nice again tomorrow and then stormy the rest of the week. Today adult dog is going to doggie daycare. He needs a break from the puppy tornado here at home. Then the tornado is going to the vet for his next round of boosters.
