Todays plinker is this Winchester Model 68 in Long and Long Rifle 22. It’s a single shot and I shot it four times at the spinners at 15 yards.

I really like these peep sights. I’m thinking of adding a Marbles globe to the front.

This rifle deserves more than spinners and when it warms up I’ll try hitting paper for group sizes.

This might be my last plinking report for a few days as I leave to get my left eye fixed in a couple hours.

Yes, best of luck on the surgery, Gene.

You're right about the Winchester. It's definitely accurate enough for shooting groups. My old Model 67 sure is.

Now that it’s above freezing I can shoot a single loader. When it’s really cold I load my magazines or tubes inside and chamber a round when I get to the shooting line.

I agree. Love my single shots, but loading them when the hands are numb from the cold is not fun. loading a magazine and then stepping outside to plink is much easier.

Did a little 45 colt plinking in the rain, 9 rounds on the big silhouette with the Rossi no problem.
Two handed 6 shots with the Pietta at the same gong from the deck was only 50% effective. 200 gr mbc bullets over 6.5 grs of Red dot.

Randy, I'm going to load some 200gr coated rnfp's with Red Dot just as soon as I empty some brass! Really liking this combination in the revolvers and Henry.
