A little unplanned upgrade this morning. Site is working ok it seems.

Hello from maine
Hi folks. Not sure how this all works. Got a new henry with an issue. Figured no better place to ask than here. Posted my issue in the henry center fire heading.
Hoping someone has had good luck either fixing or having henry fix the issue.
Accuracy is my problem as in a distinct lack of it. Hate to send it back. I just got it!
Anyways, nice to be here.

Re: Hello from maine
Welcome from Dacotah, can you describe your issue a little more in depth?

Re: Hello from maine
Short version rifle won't group. That being said, Hornady ammo uses .430 bullets and shoot ok. I'd call it serviceable but not great. Other bullets as in Speer, Sierra are .429 or .4295 and won't hold a 6 inch group @50 yds. Factory ammo for what I have used, bullets are .429 other than hornady.
I have 2 molds, both SWC and 250-280gr. Neither holds 12in @50. So lead seems to be out of the question.
I talked to Henry and will be sending it back. Based on what I was told, I do not expect better than what I have now but we will see.
I don't think I am being unreasonable to expect 3in groups @ 50 yds. I know some of you get better than that.
This bore slugs @ .430-.4305 depending on which way I look. That seems big but ok. I'd rather see .429. May explain why the .429 bullets print a pattern and not a group.
Crown is perfect that I can tell, no visible defects in bore.
