Today’s casserole was served in a Mare’s Leg. Ten rounds hit the gong at 35 yards.
Everything is handy for shooting and there is no prep time needed.

Re: Range Report: daily plinking
Todays noisemakers were a Walther P22 and a Ruger 22/45. First up was the Walther and I had problems racking the slide. It just wouldn’t budge. Then I discovered I had locked the slide. The only reason I thought of it was because I saw the key. Ten rounds of HV at 15 yards hit the gong 7 times.
Then came the Ruger. I had 3 ftfire’s. I think it was not going into full battery and needs cleaning. Not the best way to start the year.
Little Girl on the other hand could care less. I’m shooting 20 feet outside from where she is at and the noise doesn’t bother her.

Nice, I think the son n law and I are going to a couple 22 here in a bit.
My Ruger Wrangler and his Heritage RR.
Gene I have a twin to the 22/45, I believe mine to be more accurate than I am.

Enjoying this thread.
You all have some pretty revolvers!
Loved that H&R Breaktop. Don't think I ever saw one up close.

Thanks about the comments. My 22/45 is definitely more accurate than I am. The H&R was given to me by my father-in-law. I always think of him when I shoot it.

I had so much fun shooting my P22 that I dug out the PK380. The slide is easy to rack and I bought it when I had hand surgery.

Very nice selection of 22 shooters! You plan on adding anymore for more range fun?

I’m always on the lookout for a good rimfire plinker. Sometimes I plan on shooting a specific firearm and sometimes I just open the drawer and choose one.fortyshooter wrote: ↑Fri Jan 05, 2024 1:16 pmVery nice selection of 22 shooters! You plan on adding anymore for more range fun?
Twenty-five years ago I was shooting mainly military 30.06, 8mm, and 303 British. Then I bought a Henry Classic and a Ruger 10/22 and the rest is history.
