Mornin went shootin yesterday and going again tomorrow. Weather has been great down here staying in the 60's and 70's Hey Coop you gonna make it down here to the salt?

We planned to visit our friends at Port Aransas but due to his health they will be at their home Northeast of Frederiksberg instead, so we will visit them there. Sorry Al. From there we have reservations at an RV Resort north of Tucson.

Well its close and thats some pretty nice country up there. I like Texas hill country. We will be in Kerrville for a month next year.

33 up here in the north, much warmer than you poor folks in the southeast. We sure are enjoying this lack of snow. High today near 40 with a drizzle. I’m going with my neighbor to an indoor golf place he discovered. Apparently it’s a place where you hit the ball will all your clubs like on a course and the system tracks you shot as a real shot would travel. Might be fun.

Yeah, we stayed on Llano last year but this year we will park right in their yard in Sunrise Beach Village. He is slowly recovering from a stroke and we go back fifty years or so. My old hunting partner from Virginia.

Sorry Al, maybe next year if he recovers some more.

If you are looking for things to do in the Tucson area, Patagonia Lakes is beautiful, and if you feel like going a bit further, there are legendary tacos in Globe. We heard about them from a few different people but haven’t yet made it there in person. My understanding is they are tacos done on Navajo fry bread. I think you owe it to us to do a report on them

I looked for the place that does the fry bread tacos, but can’t find it from menu searching, so you might have to ask a local?

I have my flat deck rammed full of lumber and steel for my shop addition. I’m really hoping this green December continues into a green January too so I can get it built before the snow comes!

It’s my understanding that there is a full bar available. We’re going this morning so I won’t imbibe but I will say some of the best beers I’ve consumed were on a golf course. Fingers crossed for your shop project and decent weather to get it done. Come on El Niño.

We'll actually be in Casa Grande RV Resort which is kinda out in the desert but very nice. Last year we did roam about with the toad and I'm sure we'll roam again this year. We haven't been to Globe yet but maybe this trip. We've stayed in Tucson and then Phoenix area in past years.
I tend to get bored and start roaming around all the time.

Up way too early this morning climbing out of the rack at 4:00. Crazy. Oh well, got a nice head start with the wood stove warming up the house. 33 outside with fog, or so says the weatherman. Might see some sun breaks this afternoon. Other than a mid day dentist appt for my wife we have nothing on tap for the day. There’s probably a nap in my future. And a hike with the dog.

its supposed to get up to 38 by 10AM .... if so that will end 14 hours of sub freezing temps for us .... the lowest I've seen being 24 .... for us that's unusual for this time of year .... predicted high for today is 55 .... today we will put our Santa's Sleigh in motion taking wrapped gifts from our home to where our family plans to spend Christmas .... its only 3 miles so it won't take long

Happy shortest day of the year everyone! Sunrise at 7:44 and sunset at 3:57. That’s ridiculous! Foggy and 43 here today. I’m so excited for a green Christmas! Going be sunny and just above freezing on Saturday and Sunday. We are headed to spend Christmas at the ocean with my wife’s best friend. Had a very pleasant Christmas surprise yesterday. I received the final bit of money from my mothers estate. I was expecting very little, but a bank draft for over $20k was delivered! Of course the first words out of my lovely brides mouth were “do NOT buy another gun” She knows me too well!

Had some sun yesterday morning and a high of about 71 deg. Went shooting again yesterday. Shot a couple rounds of Skeet with Jay and Dan. Jay is the guy we built the bench for. He didnt get to go on Tuesday because he had to go to San Antonio for injections. So we went with him. If you have never shot a round of skeet it will sure humble you. It sure is fun but it can sure make you shake your head.

We have zero snow now! Amazing. 45* today. Looking back at last year on this date it was -24* and there was 18” of snow. We are VERY happy with this years version! I should be going fishing today!

Al, have shot skeet a couple times, i much prefer sporting clays to skeet. More walking but to me much more fun.
