we were up early (for us) this morning so as to take one of our daughter's dogs to the Vet .... during the dog's recent physical they detected what may be tumor on or near his spleen .... she's pretty numbed .... right now about all we can do is hope for the best .... after dropping the dog off we took care of a bit of shopping and now we are back home .... next up today for us is picking our 7 year old grandson after school .... yep, the thrill a minute time lifestyle of being retired ..

A couple of years ago I had the privilege of buying lunch for Sir Henry and Big Al. Both fine gentlemen. I agree with your

It was in the low 60's this morning on the dog walk and now it's 65° with the high reaching 70° today. Tomorrow is supposed to be about 10 degrees warmer. I've not much work to do today. Robyn is working the library until 3 this afternoon so I'm looking after the sis-in-law. The only thing I really need to do today is clean out the dryer vents.

50 on its way to 74 under a beautifully clear Carolina Blue Sky in central NC .... the first picture below shows Maureen's Christmas Cactus this morning .... the second picture shows that same Christmas Cactus back on November 11, 2016 .... its become a small part of our family's Christmas traditions .... busy morning on tap first up haul trash .... second take Maureen's Blazer to have the interior detailed and protected .... third is to pick up our camper at the body shop, get it back home, and setup in its normal place

28 with light fog. Today is supposed to be dry with overcast/sun trading places. Maybe the mid 30’s for a high. Nice again tomorrow and then rain and wind coming in on Sunday. That gives me today and tomorrow to finish up my outdoor burning which hopefully will be enough time. I’d like to get it done before Thanksgiving and we’re tied up on Monday and Tuesday with other activities.

Coffee good..... new caliber i tried worked on deer yesterday. Now will work on trying to shoot a doe with a pistol just for a new challenge. I have takin deer with modern rifles in several calibers.. have gotten bow deer and muzzleloader deer... so now a new experience.... but for today probably just rest up from yesterday's hunt and bask in the sucess that i actually pulled it off..... (simple tasks for the simple mind.).... he he he he.
Ya know, .. old Elmer Fudd here isnt getting any younger....

Ozark, pistol hunting is fun, challenging, and rewarding.
I've rake 4 different deer with 4 different revolvers.
I've never bow hunted, a shoulder injury in my youth hindered the draw.
Later they legalized x-bows here and I bought an inexpensive one to play with, but
I still never tried it.
Good luck, what cal. pistol are you going to use?

Our son in law and his dad did some great work here yesterday. We split and stacked
wood and then they donned my two back pack leaf blowers and blew away the wind
storm leaves of Thursday. I kind of felt like Tom Sawyer painting the fence but those
two city fellas said the enjoyed it. Anyway I do appreciate it.

Loved the Tom Sawyer reference Coop and I agree with you that vaquero’s pics are fantastic. Always appreciate them.

28 here with sunny skies in the making. Hard frost on the ground and trees so it’s pretty pretty out there. Lol High should be in the mid to upper 30’s depending on how much sun we will see today. Tomorrow brings wind and rain which sounds like a great day to stay inside and watch football. Today I’ll finish up my burning, yea! I enjoy it but I’ve spent many days getting it done and I’m ready to be finished.

72 at 11AM with only a 2 degree rise to reach today's high .... to say its beautiful outside in central NC today would be putting it mildly .... our daily highs are forecasted to drop for the next few days with the first mention of rain being a 94% chance next Tuesday

64° this morning on the dog walk. It's supposed to get up to around 77° or so by this afternoon. There's rain coming in late Sunday and Monday. I've got some work to do on the workbench (Miyazawa flute). I'll listen to some football while working.

Yes, the #2 grandson, he's 8. Loves the outdoors. Sure wish the others weren't way over in SC. I try and spend as much time as possible with him. As i know like you said the time will come when he'll have other things to do rather than be with me.
