We split over a cord of wood yesterday and am happy to have that done.
Now I need to pull the dock and get ready to blow leaves. Winter is coming.
Oh yes, we have a Chimney Sweep coming tomorrow to clean the fireplace chimney.

51F and sunny. It should go to 60.
Coffee with plain jane this am. I'm having some apple pie with it, from a local large apple orchard. If there is money in it, they are. I can taste grease in the pie crust. It just went into the garbage. Guess I shouldn't eat with my coffee, lol.

37 right now which may drop a degree or two before it hets warmer. Another beautiful October day with a high of around 70. Yesterday Spokane set a new record high at 76. However real fall arrives next week with some talk about lows in the 20’s and some snow.

Today I’ll finish up putting the boat to bed and I guess it’s time to blow out the sprinkler system. I waiting to winterize the motor home as I’m stubbornly holding out hope for another trip. Probably not but it’s parked inside so next weeks 20’s won’t be a problem for it.

It was a warm morning, for fall, at 68 degrees this morning. Currently it's 92 degrees at a bit after 4 in the afternoon. I cooked up some Cream of Wheat for breakfast. I hadn't had any in a long time and it seemed to fit my taste.

About 60 here this am and when I took my two mile walk part of
which is on a trail that was once the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad I saw four manatees including a very small one about 18 inches long. They were heading out under the trestle as the tide was rapidly going out. Two minutes earlier or later and I would have missed them.

Breezy, with a north northwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
I'm really taking advantage of all this nice weather. I finished all the mowing yesterday
and today Ray is coming out and we're going to pull the dock in for the Winter.
I'm up and at it early and the coffee and cookies are already done.
A couple of friends came over yesterday morning to look at possible deer stands in
our woods for bow season. I love this time of year but alas, it leads to Winter.

Good morning, was 43 when I woke, headed towards 83 it says.
Going to pickup the grandson shortly.Went back on the farm and retrieved some firewood I cut up earlier in the week.
Is a nice white oak that fell back in the spring.
Property owner told me I could have it as he has plenty for the winter.
A nice addition to what I already have.

39 with another beautiful fall day forecast. We should see sunshine and maybe 70 today. But rain comes in tomorrow and a cold front will follow. Maybe some mid 20’s overnight this week.

Got the boat put to bed and the sprinklers blown out yesterday. Today I’ll work on some more winterizing and mow the lawn for hopefully the final time. WSU cougars will take on the Oregon Ducks today in what will most likely be a Duck blowout. Last week the Cougs failed to beat Arizona, in fact the Cougs got their butts whipped.

54 under a beautiful, clear, Carolina Blue Sky this morning where we are camped near Four Oaks, NC .... its supposed to get up to 69 later today .... the ladies in our group plan to go shopping at the Outlet Malls out on I-95 .... that's a scary thought .

It's 70° degrees this morning and is supposed to get up to 92°. A little warm for late October. I must say that was a heck of a game last night. The Abreu pitch that hit Garcia sparked a scrum that Moldanado said "really woke us up". I guess it did wake up Altuve. That player has a really compact swing and hit's a lot father than you would think. I'm looking forward to game 6 although the Astros play better away than home for some odd reason.
I just had cereal and coffee for breakfast.

Starting at 54° going to 70s... another excellent fall day. Im glad its sunday so i can get some rest.
Hopeful for a quiet peaceful day.
Less than three weeks till firearms deer season here in missouri. A good time with family and friends and time in the quiet places outdoors. Cannt wait!

Man, I was sound asleep when the alarm went off but the coffee is reviving me.
Church, brunch somewhere, and then we're going to winterize the RV.
Its going to be a nice day buy look out, Winter is just over the horizon.

I’m with you Coop, looking over my shoulder watching for that old man winter who is expected to make an initial appearance around mid-week. But for now it’s a balmy 48 with a light rain. Not sure what the high is expected today but it should be warm.

Heading over to my son’s place to help him service his mower and get the snow blower attachment on it. He’s looking over his shoulder too.

It was 71° this morning on the dog walk. I"m sure it's going to be at lest 90° again today. I had to cancel a doctors appointment for Wednesday morning as I had somehow double booked the morning of my eye injections. I'll have to wait another four weeks to see the cardiologist unless they have an appointment cancellation and call me. I just cooked bacon, eggs, toast and coffee this morning.

After church we drove down to Northfield for brunch at Perkin's. I had steak and eggs with pancakes.
Being well fed we drove around the country just looking at the Fall colors which are now peaked.
I reminded me of the hymn "How Great Thou Art" in "we gazed in awesome wonder".
This is the most beautiful time of year, but it is fleeting and in a week will be gone.
This coming week the gun club has their fall banquet closing the skeet and trap season and
then all that is left is target shooting with pistol or rifle till Spring.
Now is our time to batten down for Winter.

Up way too early this morning, 3:30 for crying out loud. Can’t do anything until towards 7:00 as it’s too dark out. 31 out there and inside there is a nice fire in the stove. Don’t know the high yet but the local news starts here soon and I expect to hear we could se 60 later. Starting tonight we have several consecutive nights below freezing expected including maybe a teens night.

That being said I’m going to give up and winterize the motor home. Then pressure wash the mowers and winterize the pressure washer. Probably drain and roll up the hoses and put them away. Less than a week ago Spokane had a record high temp of 76, I guess I was in denial of winter but no longer.

Good morning, Hatch, man I hate when that happens. Maybe a nap later.
Well, I started a project last night. Been saying I was going to redo the stocks on the Rossi in 45 colt. So I pulled those off last night, like to never got the barrel band free from the forearm. After I did I did some sanding on the section and it slips back and forth freely now.
Will use some CitriStrip to remove the stain and apply Several coats of the linseed oil.
