Sunny and windy here about 45 outside right now. Supposed to freeze tonight first one of the year. Good day to stay inside and maybe go to the gun shop.

Yes. Indeed it is.
We found a deer at the end of the blood trail yesterday. 2 G-bears were in the midst of eating it for breakfast! It’s a long story, but we got a minute with the deer while there was a lot of branches snapping in the brush around us, and my neighbor kept saying “I don’t think this is my deer… it’s too small”. That’s when I pointed out it was also a white tail, not a mule deer! But it shall remain a mystery as both he and his wife are life long hunters (she’s native) and at only 200 yards, she was counting antler points through binoculars, and both swear it was a monster muley he shot. Yet at the end of the blood trail was a whitetail…
It’s very possible there was his deer somewhere in the area down as well, but the bush was so thick, and with bears around we got out of there in a hurry.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Good morning, we didn't finish yesterday, but knocked a big dent in it.
It's 58 at the moment and a high of 67, got one of the annual Toy run's today.
So I need to pull the scooter out and dust it off.
Also the grandson is coming over later, he may want to ride in the parade.
Will we see.
Red, don't blame you for getting out of the area, them G-bears don't play.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Overcast, 45°F, Humidity 100%
Wind Speed N 8 mph
Barometer 30.11 in
Mostly cloudy, with a high near 53.
North northeast wind 10 to 15 mph.
I thoroughly enjoy my one cup of coffee in the morning.
That's it, one cup is all I have.
We ended up with around 4 inches of rain from this last system depending on which gauge you believe.
The duck hunters are blazing away this morning now that the deluge of rain is over.
I have an Executive Board meeting this morning for the Legion Post. We're still trying to either
rebuild the old post or get the property sold and move on. The interest rates are slowing it all down.

Holy cow, that’s scary.
43 this morning and since I woke up way too early I decided to have a fire in the wood stove. Sure feels nice and if Mrs. Hatchdog ever decides to wake up she will be very happy. High today is supposed to be in the 50’s with some rain coming in later. Today I’ll finish cutting up and hauling home the trees the neighbor had cut down and mow the lawn maybe for the last time this year. The grass is very green but seems to have slowed down on the growing part.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Good morning, 52° here this AM, up to low 60s.
The grandson's birthday party is this afternoon.
Had a good turnout for the Toy Run yesterday.
I have a few more, but the internet has been crappy here the past couple days.

It was 54° on the dog walk this morning. We're supposed to stay in the high 60's with a warm up to the 80's by weeks end. I just had cereal and coffee for breakfast.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Great pics Jim, looks like paradise.
A mild 48 this morning with a high of 68 forecast. But also we have wind and rain coming in this afternoon. But, later this week we’re looking at 70 and sunny so we’re thinking about taking the boat out one last time and try to find a fish. Probably Thursday.
Had this gal stop by for breakfast this morning. My wife was outside and came in and told me she thought a tree came down (no wind so…
) Turns out it was this cow moose stomping around in the low light. I told the moose she was welcome to join us for breakfast, moose steak and eggs.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
47 with a sunny 60 something later. Woke up too early for the local news so the high is just a guess.
I heading up to our property today to complete a couple of small projects and button it up for winter. Since I’m up early might as well as head that way and get an earlier start and hopefully an earlier return home.
