busy morning .... first up, hauling trash .... second, drive to nearest Rooms To Go store oven near Dunn and purchase a new Easy Boy Recliner to replace my very well used 14 year old one .... this afternoon I hope to start reworking our camper's basement .... 78 as this is being typed on its way to 83 on a truly beautiful day in the neighborhood

Coffee and cookies are over. Couldn't sleep so I'm up early.
A cold front is moving in tonight so this is our last day of Summer I guess.
I have a little mowing left and then I want to put sealer on our redwood garage
doors while it's still warm.

another beautiful day on tap .... 60 on its way to 82 under a beautiful Carolina Blue sky .... a bunch of small things on tap for today .... first up, going to town to get a couple of stainless bolts and nuts to install the tag on our daughter's new camper

Rain, glorious rain. We finally got a good rain today and there's more on tap for tomorrow! Maybe my grass won't look like straw much longer. I just had cereal, slice of banana bread and coffee for breakfast.

Wed be here. Front coming so should get rain tonight and in morning then clearing out and a good bit cooler and more correct fall weather. So friday is the start of a new to missouri early doe season. Im going as weather should be great. About 50 at daylight... im going to try a still hunt on a piece of public land just cause i always stand hunt so an opportunity to try out an odd little rifle i got. Its a cva take down rifle in stainless. A single shot in 350 legend. Will be in timber so a 80 yard shot would be the max most likely possible. Have a low power Leopold scope on it. I dont realky think where im going i will see any other hunters since this isca new early seadon doe only hunt and this will be on a friday so not many will take off work since id tge want to hunt this early seadon they could still go Saturday or sunday. Thats my plan. If i do see annoying hunters i can go back to one of farms and hunt at home..... i think it will be a fun adventure.....

Well, I thought the old RV was sold but the party contacted me last evening and said
they could not get financed. Bummer. Back on the market it goes.
The garage doors came out great. They are redwood panel doors and they soaked up the
oil I put on and now look like new.

More RAIN! Wow, I just might have some grass coming alive in the yard. I'm sure going to have to have a lot of top soil and sod brought in when it's a bit cooler. I cooked bacon, eggs, coffee with a slice of banana bread on the side.

68 now on its way to 80, once again under a beautifully clear Carolina Blue Sky .... absolutely no mention of rain .... first up, taking our Trailblazer to the shop, the Check Engine light is back on .... Second, go to get Flu and Covid shots, Flu shot went well but because our 15 year old grandson came down with Covid over the weekend and we were around him a couple of days earlier, have to put our shots off for at least 10 days .... Third, my wife had a crown come loose this morning, so we've had to schedule a dental appointment for later this afternoon .... in short, in and out all day

Good morning, it's 67° here and rain is all but upon us, 71° for a high.
On another gun forum I visit is having a pic contest for the up and coming calendar.
All members that want to participate gets two entries, I'm thinking about this as one of mine.
Any thoughts?

Actually Vaquero I think that photo is a little busy. I've admired several of yours that
I think were much better. I do think you have a natural talent for photography.

after taking a grandson to school this morning we picked up our Trailblazer ... the Check Engine light was caused by a bad VVT Solenoid ..?? .. I read what that does but most of it looked like it was written in some mystical language .... I did turn out to be right about the whine I was hearing .... the idler pulley needed to be replaced as did the serpentine belt​ .... 67 on its way to 77 later today .... a change (at least a temporary one) is at hand .... night temps in the 40's are forecasted to move in starting tomorrow night
