Finally bought a lever action

Excellent! You just sold me on the Skinner sight! It fits the style of rifle much better than a scope and looks to be about as accurate.

I'll get back with a report on how it works out in about a month. Got to get past a knee replacement scheduled for next week.

I doubt you will be disappointed. What part of Michigan are you in? South west by chance? iIf you are close enough you would be free to shoot my rifle to make an informed decision.

If you go with the Merit aperture, slide the windage adjustment block out and rotate it 180 degrees. you will have to put the base back in by sliding it in from the other side. It has a slight taper fit. It moves the stem more forward.



I was always catching the sight on something because it stuck out back so far. It's perfect now! I am a big Skinner sight fan. And Andy has always answered any questions I had. And always deliveres a stellar product. I was excited to see him as a sight sponsor now!

Thanks for the offer. I live in the southeast corner of the state. I set up a crude peep sight just to look through. It does clear everything up for my old eyes. Looks like this is the right way for me to go.
