Shooting with my sons

Post by splash54 » Sat Nov 12, 2016 10:39 am

Several weeks ago I got the chance to go shooting with two of my sons and one grandson. It was an AWESOME afternoon. Weapons fired were:
Henry Big Boy in .44 mag (mine)
Ruger SR-762 (mine)
Customized Mosin Nagant (Adam's)
Customized Ruger 10/22 (Jeremy's)
Mossberg 12 gauge (Jeremy's)
Tavish fired his dad's Mosin (w/bi-pod), the 10/22 and the shot gun. The other two rifles were too big for him. He was NOT impressed with the 12-gauge all though that is the one he begged to shoot. Got a nice MANLY shoulder bruise from that one.
Both of my sons were very impressed with the Henry. It was a good day.

Sounds like your Henry made a nice splash with your sons, Splash. Cool.
And let Tavish know that he has become a member of the "MANLY Shoulder Bruise" club along with a lot of other fellows that joined before him!!

Glad you had a great family time together!

Glad you got to go shooting with the family and that they really liked your Henry! I have had a few bruises too after shooting to pattern my Browning auto 5 .12 gauge with a light shirt and no pad. I won't be doing that anymore!
