Our Morning Coffee and Weather

50 with clear skies here on the North Fork of the Coeur d’alene river in Idaho. Funny, it’s 45 back home. I thought we would be at a higher elevation but we are in a river valley and are only 200’ higher than home. Of course as we leave for atv’n we gain elevation quickly.

Today we’re heading out to a somewhat remote airfield a buddy told me about. Thinking it’s about 40 miles away, really don’t know what the fuel range of my Ranger is as it’s mostly just does work around the homestead and some low mile grouse hunting up at our place near the border. 11.5 gal tank so we’ll see.

Don't know what it was this morning. It's 93° now and is supposed to get to around 97°. There's also a slight chance of some thunderstorms this afternoon. I sure hope so. I did cook bacon, eggs, toast and coffee for breakfast.

Been in the 60's here and our place is still green and fresh looking. Other than a bit of smoke a few days here and there, it was a great summer. Prayed for rain and got it when we needed it. My front pastures have actually regenerated to the point the horses will get out on them again for a couple of weeks later this month.

if the forecast proves to be true we have really nice day on tap .... 67 as this is being typed, predicted high for today is 85 .... preparations for a long weekend camping with our club continue .... I'm way behind in taking South Dakota related items out of our camper for storage and replacing them with ones that we need when camping locally .... cooler temps will hopefully provide me with a stronger motivation to complete the process

44 here in camp with sunny skies and light winds. High today might see the upper 70’s or maybe even 80. The a big warmup this weekend into the mid 80’s with a big plunge next week into the mid 60’s for the highs. Fall is in the air.

Found the remote airstrip we searched for yesterday after a 35 mile very dusty drive. Pretty cool area with lots of atv trails around. No idea how long since it was last used as a landing strip but it’s been a while. Very potholed. I understand from a local guy that snowmobile races are held there. Found this interesting set up attached to a tree honoring a guy who passed away in 2013. Tried to google the name but no go.

Not sure what today will bring and will figure that out when done here.

There's a similar landing strip up in the hills nearby Wenatchee. I believe it's only used by snowmobiles now. Have never heard why it was made, no nearby structures and it's several miles up some old logging roads before you get to a paved road.

It was 78° earlier this morning. Right now, it's 89°. I was busy with doctor appointments this morning. Everything is fine, just the usual yearly checkup. I was going to ride the Harley but as I was about to leave, I hear thunder in the distance, so I went in the car instead. It turns out that I could have ridden as it only sprinkled on me just a bit as I was leaving. Surely, if I had taken it, it would have been a toad strangler! All is well. I just had cereal and coffee for breakfast.

very pleasant day on tap .... 58 on its way to 81 with no rain .... chores around home on tap for this morning .... set to pull out around noon for a 4 day outing with our camping club to Raleigh Oaks over in Four Oaks on I95 near Smithfield ..... very heavy dew this morning, will wait for it to burn off before get started outside

44 and breezy here in camp and 39 back at home in Deer Park. A bit of a warm up today where we’re looking at possible the mid 80’s. Packing up and heading home today, been a fun week here in Idaho.

Yesterday’s adventure was fun but nothing picture worthy. We took a drive up a drainage called Bumblee Creek and then crossed over a saddle and the return trip was fun. We gained several hundred if not 1000 ft in elevation and the return trip was down a very narrow road in a nearly vertical drainage. It was very dark and cool on the ride which went for probably 5-6 miles and gave up all the elevation we gained.

It was 76° with 91% humidity on the dog walk this morning. We got a brief but welcome rain shower this morning. Any amount of precipitation helps as my grass looks like straw. I cooked bacon, eggs, toast and coffee for breakfast.

Spring has arrived down under, made it above 80 yesterday, mid 40's this morning at sunrise and going for around 80 again.
Forecast is the same for the next 3 or 4 days before we drop back to mid 30's -60's for a few days.

Carol is an attorney and likes to help folks. She has gained a reputation for going to private homes
or nursing homes and doing will on death beds. This morning we are going about twenty miles to
a nursing home to execute a well for a ninety year old man who is near death. We don't need the
money, so she doesn't charge much for this.
She makes me proud.
I go along to witness for her.

No spring day here. It’s a typical fall day with lots of low ground fog.

Enjoy spring 220, it’s always fun when you report the opposite seasons that we here in the States are experiencing.

41 here at home but probably the mid 80’s later. Pretty good swing of temps. A cool down starts tomorrow and the cold front is bringing in some gusty winds so we are under another fire warning. The last warning we had like this was when the two tragic fires broke out burning over 300 homes in the Spokane area. Please not again!

Today it’s clean up and put the RV back into the shop and doing a major wash on the Ranger. Lots of dust on our rides and man that dust ends up in every crack and crevice. Thankfully these UTV’s are engineered to be hosed down everywhere. Every compartment has a drain.

Right now it's 84° with 71% humidity. There's less than a 20% chance of rain today. I just had cereal and coffee for breakfast.

Just for info, the client this morning was 90 and has Parkinson's. He's in Hospice but is alert.
He can no longer walk or hear well either. There were pictures of him with his horses and
his hunting rifles and shotguns. I can see he lived a good life but it's sad to see him now.
