Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Fair, 73°F, Humidity 74%
Wind Speed S 7 mph
Barometer 29.67 in
A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 4pm.
Some of the storms could be severe. Mostly sunny, with a high near 90.
South wind 10 to 15 mph.
Severe weather or not, we will readily accept the rain.
Yesterday was great. It was really hot but down by the pool it's shady and the swimming went on
all afternoon. Our youngest Grandson is now becoming a fish just like his older cousins. We had a
lot of snacks and then burghers on the Blackstone. I put the pool in back in 1988 and it has been the
focal point of numerous family reunions over the years.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
It was 83 on the dog walk this morning. I went back to bed for a spell before getting up and having a bowl of cereal for breakfast. We actually got a twenty-minute rain shower on Sunday and yesterday it rained for, maybe, 30 minutes or so. That's the first rain we've had in over two months. My grass looks like straw.

Happy you got a little rain Jake.
With a cold front in place I woke up to a very refreshing 43 this morning. Currently it’s a very pleasant 70 and sunny out there. Just got home from my wife’s colonoscopy, between the driving time and the prep/procedure time the day’s pretty much shot. Waiting to get a call from our HVAC tech who is expected out here this afternoon to do PM on the furnace and the A/C.
We sure had some nice rain over the holiday weekend including the neighborhood potluck last night.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
today looks to be another beautiful but hot one .... our favorite local station is calling for the high today to be 100 while Accuweather says 97 .... don't tend to believe it makes much difference, both are very hot humid .... one more day to go in what may well be the last heat wave of this summer .... first up this morning a drive to our local State Employees Credit union where we will finalize financing for Maureen's new Chevy Blazer .... the last advisory from GM showed it should arrive at our dealership sometime between September 6 & 9

Great timing for you to order the Blazer when you did if there is a UAW strike.JEBar wrote: ↑Wed Sep 06, 2023 7:47 amtoday looks to be another beautiful but hot one .... our favorite local station is calling for the high today to be 100 while Accuweather says 97 .... don't tend to believe it makes much difference, both are very hot humid .... one more day to go in what may well be the last heat wave of this summer .... first up this morning a drive to our local State Employees Credit union where we will finalize financing for Maureen's new Chevy Blazer .... the last advisory from GM showed it should arrive at our dealership sometime between September 6 & 9
A very pleasant 44 here this morning with partly cloudy skies. Watched the sun come up just kissing the clouds with some orange. High today of 77 with some heavier cloud cover later. Next weeks forecast for the area in Idaho we are visiting is for highs in the 70’s, lows in the upper 40’s to lower 50’s and sunshine. Sounds wonderful.
Today I need to run into Spokane and get dog food and an oil change kit for the UTV. It gets to go play next week instead of just staying home and working which it mostly does.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Not much on the agenda this morning. No telling what kind of Tom Foolery and chicanery awaits my day. I took the dogs out for their morning walk about 6:30 a.m. I could tell the humidity was high but didn't pay any mind to the temperature. It's 86° right now at 10:00 a.m. and we're supposed to see the century mark again today. I just had cereal, banana, and coffee for breakfast.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
I hadn't thought about that ..
we just got back from the credit union and its nice to have a check in hand that makes it possible to walk into the dealership and pay for a vehicle .... I guess that the next important step in this process is to get the vehicle delivered to the dealership

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
interesting --- when it comes to hot weather, we've seen our share .... our recent week's drive home from South Dakota was made during a period of record setting high temps .... the heat sure made things a good bit more difficult by having to cool down our camper after each day's drive ... we made it and really have no complaints .... so far its reach 98 and its supposed to go up a few more degrees within the next couple of hours .... we've been out twice today to take care of some business and, somehow, its been more uncomfortable than any other such days this summer .... we are sure looking forward to the forecasted break in oppressive heat that will hopefully come late this weekend

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
another hot one on tap for our area of central NC ..... 74 right now on its way to 94 (RealFeel 102) .... hopefully today will end our string and be the last one of this fall ..... first up this morning a medical appointment in northwest Raleigh .... not a pleasant drive in Raleigh's rush hour traffic

Wind Speed Calm
Barometer 30.05 in
Mostly sunny, with a high near 68.

The heat wave is gone and on its way to JE's. Sweatshirt and good sleeping weather abounds.
This is my favorite time of the year except we're dryer than a popcorn fart and Winter is coming.
I went to the gun range yesterday afternoon. On Wednesday it's trap and skeet and then beer and wings.
Happy times.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
My sympathies JEBar, here in the INLAND Pacific Northwest it’s a very cool 39. Only seven degrees above frost on the lawn. But it will warm up to the low 70’s later and on Sunday we have a forecast for 85. We’re leaving for the mountains of North Idaho on Monday and we should see some wonderful fall weather.
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Brrr, I'm glad our 90's and 100's are over but I'm not ready for that cold yet. Low here last night was 54. I do not mind Winter as much now that I don't have to snow blow and shovel at 5AM since I retired, bonus is no yard work.Hatchdog wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2023 10:21 amMy sympathies JEBar, here in the INLAND Pacific Northwest it’s a very cool 39. Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
A tad but warmer this morning with the current temp of 44. High today is in the mid 70’s and sunshine abounds. There is a nice mist in the trees as the sun rises and peeks thru. 80’s this weekend and then a return to the 70’s for highs next week.
Looks to be a nice morning and drag and stack tree limbs from the trees I cut down earlier this year. I plan to burn them later this fall after we get good rains or better yet 4-6” of snow.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
We've broken high temperature records here three days in a row and today seems to be on par. We've hit 103° the last two days and today it's predicted to get to 106°. I just had coffee and cereal for breakfast.
