"I voted" Survey

Post by Sir Henry » Tue Nov 08, 2016 7:46 am

Please vote in this survey. The only answers are yes and no. No hints of who you voted for will be allowed. Any mention of politics and the thread will be closed with the offender being put on suspension. No posts about news of the election.

Get out there and vote and post in the yes or no survey.

We usually vote in the morning, but because of the crazy predicted turn-out, like last time, we will be voting tonight. Last time took 1 3/4 hours. Wish us luck, lol.

I received a letter saying I didn't have a physical polling place in my precinct and that I needed to vote in the mail. Turns out to be pretty convenient mailing in a ballot. Took care of that last week.

Seems odd I wouldn't have a physical polling place since I live in a city of about 300K residents.

We just got back. The man handing out the ballots said that the turnout, so far, has been three times over what it had been in the past. But, we didn't have to stand in any line.

California does permit voting by mail, and some voting districts must vote by mail because there isn't a polling location.

I voted a week ago, Saturday. The place was busy but no lines to wait in. I was on my way to the range afterwards...LOL

It was a great Saturday.

Still being pretty surprised at this, but in my opinion, it could lead to voter fraud. Unless you get some kind of confirmation that they received it and it has been officially submitted, who ever opens the mail could just read it and throw it in the trash and just say "We never received it". If that's the case, you have to be very trusting of your city, town or county to handle it. Trust that I used to have, and I'm an old hold-out, lol, but am losing it pretty quickly lately.

Not to deflate anyone's balloon, but this is one reason why I am going tonight and stand in line for who knows how long as I feel like it has the "best shot" of it getting counted. Even here in my county that I very much trust.

I voted at about 10:30 today. There were lines, but they were short and moved quickly.

My mail-in ballet had a tracking number on it. I could go online and track it through the mail, acceptance and signature confirmation and then the holding bin. I haven't checked to see if it has been counted yet.

20 yays and 0 nays so far for how many HRF folk voted....very cool Henry representation.

Although a little early, may as well celebrate the "yays" even before the polling places close.
The musicians are already playing....should be a good election result from the HRF! :)
