Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
My dogs hate it and so do I. Around here they start around June 15th and they finally taper off around the 10th of July. Makes me wonder about people. Are these people also complaining about costs of fuel and groceries but they have cash to waste on this type of stuff

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Currently 82° with 80% humidity. No rain for serval upcoming days. The grass is starting to turn brown and I'm too much of a cheap ass to water it. Our water bill here in the city is almost $100/month anyway. I cooked bacon, eggs, toast and coffee for breakfast.

53 and sunny this morning and heading to the mid 80’s later. Yesterday’s thunderstorms did happen but thankfully not until I was home from golfing. Had a really nice steady rain for a couple of hours which is greatly appreciated. Still very moist out there so here shortly I’m planning on mowing my trail thru the trees. The weeds/brush is a couple of feet high and I’ve been waiting for a morning just like this one to mow. So far it’s been a bad year for mosquitoes so I’ll be in long pants/sleeves and covered with DEET. Ugh.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
I got busy this morning and didn't report. It's currently 95°and getting hotter at 12:30 p.m. I went to the Harley dealership to pick up the Ultra. They did a great job with the oil change and tune up. It's running a lot better. I just had cereal with a sprinkle of blueberries on top.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
54 heading to the hottest day of the year so far with 92 forecast. Light clouds but mostly sunny. Tonight our family from SoCal arrive but they are heading straight to the lake cabin they rented for the weekend. We will take the boat up tomorrow and do some tubing with the kids. Three extra kids on this trip so that will be lots of tubing.
Our area had its first wildfire of note yesterday north of me about 40 miles. There were both level 2 and level 3 (go now) evacuations in place and at the last report there have been seven structures burned but not necessarily homes, most likely outbuildings. 50 plus acres but it looks like this fire is under control at this time. It was windy yesterday but thankfully it’s much calmer today.

Wind Speed Calm
Barometer 29.93 in
Partly sunny, with a high near 86.
Calm wind becoming north northeast around 5 mph in the morning.
a seafood truck comes in from Galveston this morning selling shrimp, crab, and redfish
out of Galveston Bay. They visit a couple of times a month all Summer and we get a
lot of seafood from them. Here in the Midwest it's hard to get domestic seafood, mostly
it's from the Orient.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
54 with a beautiful sunrise streaming thru the trees. We’re looking at 90 or so for a high. Heading up to the lake here in a bit to take the grandkids who are visiting tubing. 86 is predicted for the lake with 30 mph wind gusts. Not good for tubing as this is a big lake and it gets rolling. These wind predictions are horrible for wildfires. We are in a fire watch today between the low humidity and the wind predictions.

Church and then home for brunch today. We thought we'd be spending the
day alone but the son in law texted last evening that they'd like to come
out for swimming and brats. Sound good to me.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
52 with a cooler day on hand with a high of 82. Winds have shifted from a westerly flow to a northwesterly flow so they will be much calmer that yesterday. Also cooler so that’s a win win.
Went up to what is called Pend Orielle Lake about an hour north of us in Idaho. With the 30 mph wind and the heavy boat traffic the lake was awful with 3-4 ft waves. Took the kids tubing and it was way too rough for a good ride. I did find one area with a bit flatter water so that helped. We’re heading back up today and hopefully the water will be a bit flatter.
Yesterday at the dock with our boat and two rented PWC’s.
