The weather is HOT. I cooked bacon, eggs, toast and coffee for breakfast. I'm still having stomach issues. I have an appointment with my oncologist Friday. Maybe he can find something out for me.

Praying for good news.

Sitting in camp up near the Canadian border waiting for the rain to go away so we can get out and fish. Got here Sunday afternoon and we were greeted with rain. Launched the boat Monday and fished for about an hour but headed to shore due to storm clouds and wind/rain heading to us. Got back to camp only to watch the storm track south of us. Tuesday’s forecast was for heavy rain and thunderstorms so we stayed off the lake. Only to have a cool cloudy but nice day. Today was supposed to be partly cloudy but it’s 53 and raining. So far we are zero for everything. We will probably head out here in an hour or so but more thunderstorms are forecast for this afternoon so we’ll keep a watch on the sky. Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny so it will probably snow.

Once again, HOT! That's about it The humidity goes down quite a bit during the day but is outright horrible first thing in the morning when the dogs want to go out for their walk. This morning the beagle barely made it to the next block when she decided it was time to head back to the AC. It was 83° with 92% humidity at 6:00 a.m. (heat index 95° according to the NWS calculator). The humidity is now 76% and 85° (still 95° using the NWS heat index calculator). I just had cereal and coffee for breakfast. The stomach issues seem to be better today. I'm thinking I must have eaten something that my diverticulitis didn't agree with.

Relief! Carol got a clean bill of health at the Mayo this morning. The episode a week and a half ago was
classified as once in fifty years and the Docs said she's OK now.

Coop, sure happy Carol’s issue is a non-issue.

52 and sunny this morning in camp with 76 forecast for the day. No rain or storms are expected. Got out on the water for several hours yesterday with no luck. My fish finder was showing lots of fish about 20’ deep so we fished shallow but nothing. Had a little trouble with the fish finder and after I got it worked out I found that I had a setting wrong which was falsely showing fish. Made another loop and found all the “fish” I was seeing were not!

Today I’m planning on heading up the reservoir and try for some Walleye’s.

No thunder here but the propane cannons in the nearby cherry orchard have been going off regularly for the past couple of weeks. They will be harvesting soon so will be nice to have peace and quiet back.

Yes, loud bang about every 15 minutes. The orchard close to me is a fairly new variety of Rainier cherries that are very exportable. Saw some at the local Fred Myers once and they were $9 a pound and those weren't the big, perfect ones they ship to Japan. They can make very good money growing cherries but rain, wind or a early heat wave can ruin the crop. When we had our very early and hot weather a couple of years ago the orchard manager told me he estimated they left over 20,000 pounds of cherries hanging in the trees, the heat had made them too mushy to be worth picking.

Went up to some orchards that are somewhat distant to the packing warehouses and they set up chilling equipment right at the orchards and load the chilled bins directly into reefer trailers.
