The PGA Championship first round start in New York was delayed by frost yesterday. I'm not a golfer but I like to watch it occasionally, it looked like something I would have liked to try when I was young but too expensive, I took up tennis for a while then became a bowler. Was bowling in 3 or 4 leagues for quite while and got decent but old age has cut me back to 1 or 2 leagues and just for fun now, can't bowl the big games like I used to. Bums me out that I will never bowl a 300, I came close a few times but now I'm quite happy if I bowl a 200.

Time to open the pool. Usually all the kids come out on Memorial Day for a big
cookout and swimming. We open it in mid May and close it in mid Sept.

we are currently camped just off I-95 near Four Oaks, NC at Raleigh Oaks with our camping club .... it was raining during yesterday's drive here and for several hours after we setup .... this morning dawned clear and with a very comfortable 67 degree temp .... standing water covers many areas in the campground, hopefully most will dry up today ,,,, this is our last outing in our camper prior to pulling out for South Dakota, two weeks from today we should be well on our way .... hit and miss rain showers are called for during the time we project breaking camp and driving home in the morning .... this is a really nice campground for folks traveling north or south on I-95 through NC

It's 78° at (almost) ten in the morning. The high today is predicted to reach 87°, a few degrees cooler than yesterday. I cooked bacon, eggs, toast and coffee for breakfast. I have absolutely nothing on the agenda today except to restock the liquor cabinet.

Currently a sunny 70 after a low last night of 35. I replaced a broken belt on the Simplicity. It took 2 hours. I bet I can change it in 30 minutes next time

72° cloudy and muggy, but this is SE Texas! The high is only predicted to be 79° on this Sunday but the humidity is currently 91%. I had a ham, cheese, and egg sandwich (on toast) this morning for breakfast.

Woke up (late) to a muggy 62 with a part overcast. Now it’s pretty much a full overcast with thunderstorms predicted for some areas nearby.

Yesterday after a morning meeting with the neighborhood my wife and I drove three hours south to an RV dealer who we had been in negotiations with for a motorhome. This part of Washington (Tri-Cities it’s called) is quite a bit warmer than where I live and of course yesterday was record heat for May 20th. 96 there on the paved lot. Yuk. Thankfully we had narrowed out search down to two units so didn’t have to spend a lot of time outside. We decided on this Forester 2851 28’ with an OAL of 31.5’. They made us a fair offer on our trailer as a trade in and a fair offer on their sales price. We should be picking it up next week. Happy to be home to finish my firewood splitting.

Very nice! I think that would be a good size. Probably a lot more affordable to operate and easier to park/store when not in use. Congratulations!
If I had a place to park one, it would probably be a similar model. 👍

Yes it is. Our first motorhome so there will be some learning to do.

After last weeks record heat this week we’re having a big cool down (thankfully). Woke up to a cool 48 and today’s high should be 66. The temps will warm up every day a couple of degrees with a high on Friday of 80. Should be a nice week.

Finished up splitting my firewood yesterday and hauled the splitter over to my son’s place for him to do his. Still some stacking to be done and lots of clean up. Then I’m planning on re-organizing the stuff stored in there and get my rear blade from the tractor put away for the summer.

Motorhome looks good Hatch. Hope you like it. It must be a gasser I didnt see any diesel emblems on the side. If you go someplace besides a lake trip will you be towing a car?

I got up early enough to get out and buff some clarinet parts before it got to dang hot. I just had some cereal and coffee. Getting ready to have a bit of lunch and watch Jeopardy. It's 77° and mostly cloudy today with a high around 86°
