Today is everyone's favorite thing to do day. Jury Duty. Doesnt make much sense to me anymore since they let them out faster than they put them in.

A decade ago, I served on a jury in a medical malpractice suit. We, the jurors, agreed that the SOB and so-called Dr. should have his malpractice insurance premiums skyrocket for his incompetence. What he did to that young woman was insane. She deserved to get the millions of dollars in "compensation" for a series of totally avoidable surgical mistakes that she will have to painfully endure for the rest of her life.

Well Stan Im doing my duty and going thru with the entire process. My comment comes from current issues like people walking out of stores with 1k in items they arent punished for. Check out the Minnesota man in jail for murder that was released to do it again. In Colorado multiple DUI's people are put in jail for turned lose so they can do it again. Justice isnt served much anymore and our system doesnt carry the impact it once did.

I'm doing my duty and going through with the entire process.

I was called to serve again this year, but the parties quickly settled and the jury pool was dismissed.

Jury duty is a really enlightening experience; at least it was for me. And of course, it's our civic duty. There are lots of cases that don't get headlines or clicks, but deliberative jury decisions really do matter to those involved. Good luck.

I've served three time, once Federal, and was the Foreman once.
It's a unique American thing and very important.

I've served 4 times. 2 trials, 1 settled as it went to trial and the last time a month of Grand Jury. I don't mind serving. I found everything interesting and enlightening.

Great News Coop! It was 64° this morning on the dog walk. There's a chance of scattered showers later this afternoon but only 20 to 30% depending on which side of I-10 you reside (north or south). I cooked bacon, eggs, toast and coffee for breakfast.

we awoke under a beautifully clear Carolina Blue Sky over central NC .... 49 on its way to 67 .... no rain today but is on the way ..... I've lost track of how many consecutive weekends we've had with rain .... the forecast calls for that streak to continue .... hauling trash and cleaning our new Ninja smoker/grill are the only things I have on tap for today

Great news Coop. Glad to hear your bride is ok!

We had snow just above us a few days ago, today is going to be 65* and they are saying 85* on Saturday and Sunday! I’m supposed to be turkey hunting. Going to be in my lightest weight wool that’s for sure!

Woke up to 31 with a misty foggy somewhat eerie feeling morning. I’m expecting either a bunch of fairies or perhaps Bigfoot to appear anytime. Nice day on tap with 60 ish today and maybe up to 80 in Spokane by the weekend. Finally!

Today I will get back to my yard clean-up but I got lucky as the plants my wife wanted to buy for me to plant yesterday are not available yet due to the cold spring we have had. So it’s back to the pine needles and pine cones. Later my nephew is coming over to take possession of his grandfathers Win M/94. My brother already picked up the S&W M/19 (sorry John E Davies) and delivered it to his son who lives about 2.5 hours away. Feels good to pass them on to the next generation.

I'm having breakfast with my good neighbor this morning. Probably at the Cracker Barrel.
It's time to get the driveway smoothed out after the Winter damage. Potholes, ect.
Today I'll blow the leaves away from the edges and tomorrow I'll blade with the tractor.
The drive is half a mile through the woods.

Back to the big city to see the orthopedic dr. again, pick up supplies and out to the farm to get eggs. Everyone have a great day!

54 degrees this morning heading to about 80. Looks like rain on the way for next couple days. Guess I better pack wheel bearings on utility trailer today.
