Colder today and windy, went to the big city yesterday so today not much going on. Everyone have a great weekend!

Well, Spring is over for a few days.
I did get a lot of work done around the yard and drive so now I can sit
back and relax for a day or two. Maybe I'll putz in my shop.

I came back to a different place. When I left last Sunday there was two feet of snow and five foot drifts. This is the view from my east deck this morning. In the back I have remnants of snow which most likely be gone in another day.

I came back to a different place. When I left last Sunday there was two feet of snow and five foot drifts. This is the view from my east deck this morning. In the back I have remnants of snow which most likely be gone in another day.

Turkey season opened here this morning. I heard a shot at 6:05 am so one of my neighbors is a keener! Going to go in to town and buy some lumber and fencing this morning, and will get my license and a bunch of tags so I am all set. My last patch of snow (north side of the detached garage) will likely be gone today. Going to get some more fencing up today. Coffee with one of the Weimaraners at my feet is a great start to any day!

Woke up to 30 with daylight cracking the eastern horizon. Now it’s 33 and the sun’s up but behind some scattered clouds. It’s supposed to be a nice day with temps in the mid 50’s and we might possibly see some 60’s this weekend. After a day yesterday of doing nothing but hauling dog and wife to different grooming appointments staggered just enough to prevent me from getting dirty today I will start hauling all the rounds of firewood from the bottom of my property. Haul them up to the splitter in the woodshed and make some firewood. Good honest work with a satisfying result.

My kind of day!

I’ve got a big pile of pine and fir ready for the splitter. Need to fix the oiler on my big Husky to cut the logs into rounds, as the Stihl “juggling saw” is too small to do it. I strategically piled the logs in front of where my shop expansion is going to force me to get it done early this year

Woke up to 29 and now the sun is rising. We are supposed to see the mid 50’s today and maybe 60 tomorrow. Then some rain moves in Monday. Hauling my tractor to my son’s place today to drill some post holes. He’s putting a gate at the end of his driveway and then running field fence across the front of his place. Today we will set the posts in concrete.

70 and sunny heading to 82. It rained last night and I hear the grass growing, working on the back deck and possibly a cold one this afternoon

Morning, Turkey season also opened here this AM, I didn't participate, and haven't heard any shots. Been up since 6:30.
Had a good time with the grandson yesterday, but he didn't spend the night like usual, he's staying the night with a friend tonight.
Got a benefit ride for my business partner that was the victim of a hit & run last month.
So I guess I need to uncover the scooter and see how dirty it is.
Suppose to be near 80 later so a darn good day to be on two wheels.

I wish him well. There were four Bandidos shot here in Houston yesterday along I-45 in separate incidents. Three were killed. There has been some bad blood in the past in the area between the Bandidos and the Homeitos. I don't know if the Homeitos were part of it this time but they do have a history of shooting Bandidos. Anyway, on the brighter side it's a good day currently. I didn't walk the dogs this morning as a thunderstorm was rolling through. We have more storms predicted late afternoon. Currently it's 80° and sunny. I cooked bacon, eggs, toast and coffee for breakfast.

No it’s not on my land. I get the benefit of looking at it but not paying the taxes.

61 earlier this morning, heading to high 70’s. Had a family get together yesterday for my uncles 89th birthday. Need to clean carb on pressure washer to get it running. Maybe this afternoon.

It was somewhere in the mid 50's this morning on the dog walk with a 10 to 15 mph wind coming in from the NE. It's a bit unusual but most times occurs when there's a low-pressure area to the east of us in Louisiana. I'm too lazy to look it up this morning. Anyway, I just had cereal and coffee for breakfast. I'm thinking of going to the range this morning and shooting some 22 hornet. We'll see....I just might stay in and be lazy.

Woke up to 42 with overcast skies. Pretty warm and as I’m nearly out of the fake firewood (presto-logs) I bought a month ago I didn’t start a fire. Only have enough for 4-5 more fires and we have some cooler temps coming in this week with overnight lows in the upper 20’s. Working hard on next years firewood but it’s too wet to burn this year.

Which, is my plans for the day. Might see some rain so I may continue to split wood as my splitting area is under cover thankfully.

50 here suns out was going shooting today but I must of had to much fun because I have caught a cold. So had to pass on the shooting. Was looking forward to it to. Supposed to top out at 65 today.

Very windy today, makes it cooler, Mass, Skype with Denmark family, baking a cake for one of the grandkids birthday. Everyone have a great day!

Our 80 degree summer days are over and we are receiving about a foot of snow. Currently we have half that much and it’s still snowing.
