Henry revolvers and .360 Buckhammer

Post by Mgderf » Fri Apr 07, 2023 10:56 pm

I got an email from Henry today saying that they're going to be introducing a new revolver and .360 Buckhammer lever gun

They are also going to start putting side gates in the brass receivers.

All of this to be unveiled officially at the NRA annual meeting next weekend!

There is already a video out with a man shooting the Henry in 360 so there must be a few of them in the supply chain. As far as a revolver I really don't understand why they would get into that area when there are already so many choices out there including the new Ruger low priced .22 with two cylinders and adjustable sites.

I think that means they are putting side gates in more of their brass receiver models. Their brass receiver large frame rifles already have side gates in them.

Right, with the 360, it'll have to be similar BFR.

I'm not the least bit interested.

Yeah, the .360 doesn't do anything for me. And a revolver? Don't know about that either.

My thinking is Henry offering rifle/revolver combo packages in common revolver calibers. Will be very interesting to see what a Henry revolver and action will be like. Competition in the revolver market is right tight now and the right revolver at an affordable price will be the success.

Current caliber match of a Henry Big Boy Brass in 357magnum and a Ruger GP100 is an awesome pair to own IMHO.

No sure I'd want to shoot the 360 from a handgun...
But to each his own.

Now you are really dreamin. Id probably buy one if they did. I have a BBS in 41 and its a good shooting gun. Maybe Ruger will do one.

The Ruger 1894 isn't scheduled for release until this summer and then only in .44 and .357. With the capitalism  taking place on Gun Broker with Homesteaders and new Marlin 336's I can only imagine what the window sticker on a Ruger produced .41 Mag lever would be.

Guess I'll have to send Henry yet another request/suggestion.

Well I just looked at GB a minute ago at the new Marlin Ruger 336. I see bid on them at 1850.00. It will be a cold day in he** before I pay that kind of money for one. Just another case of out of control gun prices

I agree with Big Al, that is insane money for a Marlin 336. Those prices will just send more of the younger hunters to buy the low priced bolt action rifles that fire more potent calibers that the 30-30.

This may be an unpopular opinion.
I'd rather them contract the catalog lineup and fix some of the quality control issues. I love my two big boy x's but they have faults. On top of that, Henry can't seem to produce enough of its current lineup to meet its demands.

Not unpopular at all. I see it and I see the quality in the last couple of years go the other direction. People are sending guns back multiple times for repair. In some cases just accepting the poor quality. Anthony Imperato's guarantee is still on the website and for me its 3 strikes. If it isnt right after that I want my money back
