Beer Signs

Post by Sir Henry » Sat Aug 06, 2022 8:31 am

I can’t pass up a garage sale and in just one summer I’ve picked up these signs.

This one I paid $2 for it. When I bought it it was covered in dust and the bulbs were mismatched. It’s chipped but the colors are bright. It’s good enough for the garage. I want to add additional electric plugs in the ceiling and have them switched so I can turn on/off several signs at a time. Knowing me I’ll end up with a dozen or more signs.

This one was $5 and I replaced the light with an LED.

I went to Stillwater, MN to a dealer and paid $50. It’s really in good shape and is hanging in my office.

Gene I have a big Miller Light bottle cap sign. Think I gave 5 bucks for it at a swap meet some years ago.

I found another beer sign this week. It will be hung in the garage with the others.

Spuds was a hot item when they first came out. A friend had one bolted to a shelf in her bar and it disappeared. He came back couple years later, just reappeared on the shelf. That one looks in great shape Oldbrass.

I bought some new neon signs. Right now they are visible when you pull up to the house. When the snow melts I’ll put them on the west windows so you can only see them from the backyard camping area.

I have another Hamm’s sign coming which will compliment this mountain scene.

That picture of the front of your house is so incredibly vivid. Shows what a quality camera will do in comparison with our phone cameras.

Bringing an old Washatonian I’m sure you have some extra appreciation for the Rainier sign.

Yes I do appreciate the RaaaaaaaaaNeeeeeeeeeeRrrrrrrrrBeeeeeeeeerrrrr sign the most. It’s like shifting gears on a motorcycle. The house picture was taken with my cell phone.

I received the Hamm’s sign. Both the Rainier and Hamm’s lettering is bright red. I’m not sure why it photographs orange.

Cool signs Gene. If someone sees them from the road, they may think you are running a Tavern and stop in.

It does make the house look like a tavern but you can’t see them till you are well into my driveway. I wonder what some of my neighbors will think as I hang with the non-drinking crowd.

Rainier and Heidelberg were favorites back in the day, anything but Olympia. I remember using the urinal at Docs tavern singing " It's the water and a lot more"
