50F going to 60F by midday. Thunderstorms rolled though this am. Tomorrow at this time it will be back to 20F.
Coffee in the star trek mug this am.
Not much on the plate except spring clean up around the homestead.
I hope you enjoy your day.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
I just ventured out and this is what I saw. It’s funny how some areas are almost clear and then other areas have several feet. Some of the piles are from previous plowing and some are just because of the vehicles and the wind.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
central NC is under a weather advisory for "Southwest winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts of 35 to 45 mph are expected." .... in addition "Rain and a thunderstorm starting in 48 min" .... its been a very wet spring and there are concerns some trees may be toppled by the wind .... nothing on the calendar that should take us away from home today .... the ladies in our family are working on an Easter get together ....happy to be able to report that the 1st Strawberry Pie of 2023 has come and gone ....

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Vaquero, sounds like you have a wonderful day on tap.
Sir Henry, those snow drifts are almost artistic but we really know they are just hard work.
Here it’s a cold windy 34 with a cold windy rain coming down. Some local areas got snow overnight but thankfully at my place we got only rain. Today we might head into Walmart in Spokane in the morning and when we get home I plan to spend the afternoon in my reloading room. Not much else to do on a nasty day like this.
I have a new Kindle and it has a feature that pulls pictures on the same date from previous years. Last night it showed a picture of my front yard from two years ago and my lawn was greening up and was all raked out and thatched. I don’t have access to that pic right now but I just took this pic from the same position. The yellow rings are snow mold and rake out without damage to the lawn. What a difference, must have had an early spring int 2021 and we’re sure having a late spring this year. Come on Ma Nature!

70F this morning and strong winds with 30-50 MPH gust supposed to blow thru this afternoon. Hope no large limbs come down and our power stays on.
My Generac won't be up and running until Tuesday wouldn't you know!
Gene....is that a typical winter snow you are getting or more than usual?

73° this morning during the dog walk. The high today is supposed to be 85°. I cooked bacon, eggs, toast and coffee for breakfast.

Looks like if the pile by your garage gets much higher the snow won't won't be able to slide off the roof.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
I’m upstairs in my west bedroom watching TV and the wind was so bad it shook the entire house. Then I went downstairs and discovered that wind that shook the house was actually the neighbor on his D7 and he plowed my driveway.
The view out my living room window.

Sunny and 52 here but windy. We have to put up with a breeze most days until the snow is gone from the nearby mountains.

34°F, Humidity 75%
Wind Speed S 6 mph
Barometer 29.81 in
Cloudy until late afternoon then becoming partly sunny.
Chance of light freezing rain and slight chance of rain early in the morning. Highs in the mid 40s.
South winds 15 to 25 mph shifting to the southwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation 50 percent.
We're up early for church and then brunch.
I plowed wet snow for several hours yesterday. The biggest problem were all the trees bent over the
drives due to the wet snow. Man, we got dumped on.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Good morning, it's 39° here with no snow to plow.
Sayin around 71 later.
Grandson and I had a big time yesterday, walked the woods some, shot some hoops, I pitched the ball so he could hit a few. He's coming along well with that.
He spent the night and is wstching tv with the misses at the moment.
Not sure what is on tap for the morning.

Same old same old Sunday; Mass, breakfast, Skype with Danish family. Finish shoveling the latest 12” of snow so that next week’s storm can dump another foot of snow. Everyone have a great day!

47 degrees, heading to the mid to high 70’s. Looking like a nice day, not near as windy like as been last several days.
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Gene, that’s some crazy snow you have up there in northern Wisconsin. It was almost 70 degrees here yesterday, the wife and I pruned two trees, no more snow left here. Today it’s back to the mid forties.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Woke up to 26 and now it’s sunny and probably around 28 or so. Looks like a warmup into the 40’s later with maybe some rain/snow/gruppel/hail/thunder/sunshine/wind/calm/sunshine, etc. hmmm must be April.
Son is coming over here in a bit to hook up to my utility and then we’re heading north to a small town called Newport Wa to get a 12” gate and some fencing material for his place. Been there, done that and don’t want to ga back!. He helped me fence my place 20 years ago so I guess I owe him some help.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
The grandson and I out walking around and we come to this rise and I see a couple deer so I stopped him. I show him them and he's trying to sneak up on them.
Two in the field, and 3 more come out of the woods and trot across. These 2 just stand there for a few minutes before he spooked 'em.
