I wonder if anyone made a rifle scabbard for the 1860 in 1860? It might be fun research while you wait for the rifle to be released in March?RanchRoper wrote:Received a reply from Mr. Imperato. The 1860 in 45 Colt will be available in Canada March 2017. That should work good for me. Just in time to hang on my saddle for the summer work season.
Oh man, now I need another rifle scabbard...
Site seems to be working OK.

Hmmm, not sure. Triple K makes one for the 24" barrel though.

I sure admire Anthony Imperato. Not only did he get back to me about Canadian availability of the 45 Colt 1860 rifle, but when I asked if Cabelas would be able to order it for me, he said "I'll make certain you get one. "
Very cool.

I can't wait to see the look on the Cabelas guy when he says "we can't special order" (like they told me when I inquired last spring about the H011) and I come back with "the President of HRA has one for me, here's his number give him a call."

Just because they can doesn't mean they will. I wonder if a small ma and pa gun store might be better???RanchRoper wrote:I can't wait to see the look on the Cabelas guy when he says "we can't special order" (like they told me when I inquired last spring about the H011) and I come back with "the President of HRA has one for me, here's his number give him a call."

Re: New from HRA
Actually, I have been checking into that very thing. There are not a lot of Henry dealers but there are a couple here and there in Canada. There is a company that monthly imports from the USA and looks like they can order all models for most manufacturers. Prices look ok too with a H011 original 44-40 at about $1900 US.

Hmmm, I turn 60 next year, and this is a '60 model rifle...fate maybe?...hmmmm...and my revolver is an 1860 model conversion...strange...
I'll be 60 next Friday, the 11th. If you hurry and order it, send it to me for inspection, I'll be happy to hold on to it until it's your birthday.

Re: New from HRA
Tom from Henry E-mailed me back and said that all spec's on the .410 lever gun are not finalized yet but it will handle 3" shells and will be a smooth bore barrel.
The original Henry rifle also interest me since it will now be avaliable in 45 LC.

Three inch capability would put it way ahead of any Marlin lever 410.
Re: New from HRA
I've never shot a .410 but folks seem excited about it.
